According to another study, bitter melon extract reduces blood sugar levels. Thus, it helps in blood glucose regulation.
Bitter melon extract contains charantin, II3-hydroxycucurbita-5, Momordicine and 23- di-O-β-glucopyranoside. These bio-chemicals may responsible for the anti-diabetic effects of bitter melons. The crude extract contains charantin, which has hypoglycemic effect, according to various research studies.
How to Use Bitter Melon for Diabetes in the Best Way
If your insulin is not coming under normal levels with modern medicines, then there is a possibility of insulin resistance. Generally, both causes insulin resistance and insulin insufficiency are present in all patients at some extent. Therefore, bitter melon is effective in almost all cases with diabetes.
To enhance the action of bitter melon in diabetes, add three to four pinches of black pepper powder. It will boost the anti diabetic action of bitter melon and thus, lowers the blood sugar. This combination is very effective, especially, in case of insulin resistance.

Bitter Melon is known as a herbal for centuries. In South India, this is more or less a must vegetable during any ‘pitru’ rituals like Amavasya, annual ceremonies,etc. By this our ancestors have been preventing diabetes.
Please give information on in what quantity (ml) bitter melon juice to be used? Can we also squeeze seeds also? Can we dry the pieces of bitter gourd for future use or wile going to distant places?

I am a diabetic patient since 20 yrs.Now &then I used Bitter guard curries & juice with enough salt.Certainly it cures different bodies different ways.I do not know whether it cures Diabetis totally or not if u start using how ur body reacts to that.

I am diabetic for last 10 years. many times sugar remains under control (fast.95-100 , pp 145-150) My age is 66. Once I tried Bitter Melon juice but could not find relief may be due to proper preparation. But whenever I consumed, my liver upsets (sever pains), itching all over body, dizziness n like. In A.P. usually bitter gourd is used as a curry by cutting open the green fruit and stuffing with popu mixture tie with a thread and fry it.So actually the skin is used as a curry. How far it is having the medicinal value is existing. I think only the green fruit should be crushed and an extract should taken as a drink as shown in the photo above.how to conceal the bitterness,how often and how much it should be taken is to be mentioned by naturopathy
