Guest guest
Hi Everyone! I had been vego for a year and since starting the diet I have started eating meat again. It was very hard, but now my body is craving it. I think it really needed it! No more soy, tofu and lentils galore which were only feeding my candida. I replaced my morning coffee with a celery and ginger juice. Yep, the shop keeper thinks I'm weird! I went too hard on the oil of oregano too soon with severe die off stympoms and backed off to just garlic, pau darco and coconut oil and cod liver (wich work great to stop vaginal itching! Just insert a capsule) But I was thinking, what happens if you perservere through severe die off?? Will you kill it off quicker Bee? Just some questions I would like to confirm... 1. Is it ok to take Pau d'arco calsules? I have the Nature's sunshine brand. I'd rather take them than drink them! 2. Also I have been buying garlic tablets instead of eating crushed bulbs. Is this still ok? 3. Is it ok to cook food in coconut oil? It doesn't change properties like olive oil does it? 4. Natural jalna yoghurt - is this really sooooo bad? I need to east something for a snack or I can't get through the day! Can I have one naughty item? If so that's it I promise LOL 5. Club soda water with a squeeze of lemon is ok? Thanks heaps! Guest guest
<snip> > I went too hard on the oil of oregano too soon with severe die off stympoms and backed off to just garlic, pau darco and coconut oil and cod liver (wich work great to stop vaginal itching! Unfortunately it doesn't work to persevere though severe die-off, since it's proper nutrients that build up the immune system and cure candida in the end. That is irregardless of antifungals (except coconut oil is special because of all of the other nutrients and benefits). And it takes time to do that. Natural healing cannot be rushed. If you try to do that you overwhelm your body and it will actually stop healing. It's just like us when too much is happening at one time, which confuses and overwhelms. So there's no need to suffer through needless die-off symptoms, since it won't speed up the process. +++Candida is not cured by " killing it off " or " getting rid of it. " It is only done by building up the strength and vitality of your body (mainly the immune system) so it becomes strong enough to " make " candida " change back " into the friendly organism it was before it started overgrowing like a monster. +++Please don't cut back on taking cod liver oil; it is part of the basic supplements required - everything works together and cod liver oil is needed to work with the good fats, proteins, and other nutrients. > > Just some questions I would like to confirm... > 1. Is it ok to take Pau d'arco calsules? I have the Nature's sunshine brand. I'd rather take them than drink them! +++Pau D'Arco is a mild antifungal, so if you don't drink the tea, I wouldn't suggest taking the capsules. But they won't hurt you if you want to use them up. > > 2. Also I have been buying garlic tablets instead of eating crushed bulbs. Is this still ok? +++If the garlic tablets still retain all of the goodies raw crushed garlic does; most products don't. The only one I know that does is called Kyolic. > > 3. Is it ok to cook food in coconut oil? It doesn't change properties like olive oil does it? +++You can always cook food in coconut oil. It is one of the very best. For flavor mix some butter with it. You can also use lard or bacon grease (which is cheaper), and for certain foods it is tastier. > > 4. Natural jalna yoghurt - is this really sooooo bad? I need to east something for a snack or I can't get through the day! Can I have one naughty item? If so that's it I promise LOL +++First, Natural is a word that is not regulated, so it can be used to fool us on any product. Second, Jalna Yoghurt is low in fat. Butterfat in any dairy products helps the body digest lactose. So the lower the butterfat the harder it is to digest. Third, commercial yogurts use a powdered starter, which isn't good (I don't have my files here so I cannot give you more details), and additives, etc. and can even use powdered dairy, highly heated dairy, etc. I suggest you have one naughty item once a week and within a 2 hour period. If you feel the need to snack have a spoonful or more of coconut oil, which is the fastest and most efficient energy you can get. Snacking can become a habit, and it isn't good for healing to snack since your body needs time between meals, where it uses up a lot of energy, to digest properly. When I have Bee's Egg Drink for breakfast I don't get hungry for 6 hours. > > 5. Club soda water with a squeeze of lemon is ok? +++Yes, but don't have too much since it contains high amounts of sodium which can throw off mineral balances. A sparkling water, or mineralized one is better. Selzer also contains a lot of sodium. Bee
