Of course you may need to use a little more elbow grease with these not so strong and drastic formulations. A departure from the convenience-culture mind set which pervades our society also definitely helps. Wishing you good clean fun! Guest guest
Dear Liz, I started out with a body brush ($$$$) I had bought on a cruise years ago...I never had gotten it out so I used it. BUT I found a slightly softer one made of cocoa bristles at Wal Mart (this chick LOVES a good deal). I think Karma had posted a web site about brushing but it was very simple: you start at the soles of your feet and brush in little cirles working up the leg, then the other leg, do your arms starting out at the palms, the idea is to brush toward the hear as this stimulates the lymphatic system...brush all sufaces be careful of " sensitive areas " be sure to do your back and neck and shoulders...I use a softer edge and brush carefully on my face as I have flakey skin around my eyebrows and WOW it has helped! (Hey! no comments about me being flakey :>) You will see little fine dust fly which is YOUR DEAD SKIN CELLS. YUCK!!!!! Get rid of 'em...you don't need 'em! I have had so many compliments on my skin lately. AND I don't use a TON of lotion like I used to. -- In LifeLiftegroups, L Kuhr <stevku@j...> wrote: > Hi Libby, > > Congratulations on your losses. > I'm interested in skin brushing. Guest guest
For all you skinbrushers :-)) One more thing. When you do brush it is recommended to always brush towards the heart. In other words, start at your feet and come up. Or your hands and come in. Guest guest
Hi all, Sorry for asking so many questions and posting so many messages, I am just really keen to get started and proceed on this diet and want to implement all the protocols correctly. So this next question about skin brushing might seem a bit padentic but I know that skin brushing helps me A LOT, i feel more energised and notice a difference when the toxins are removed! So I want to ask you Bee, on your website you have stated that the direction of brushing should generally be towards the lower abdomen. By this do you mean that when we are brushing the feet and legs we should be brushing upwards; when brushing the hands and arms we should be brushing towards the elbow; when brushing the neck chest and trunk towards the groin region; and when brushing the lower abdomenal region towards the center? Please correct me if I am getting any of this wrong. Thank you again for all your help. With kind regards, Nithya
