Guest guest
Hi, I know that I have yeast overgrowth. I am just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with their temperature being out of whack! And does this have anything to do with yeast over growth. I feel like I have a fever all of the time. I am either really hot or I am chilling. If this does have something to do with the yeast please explain! Does this have anything to do with thyroid? Please help me! It is so miserable and I just cannot seem to find out what is going on. Thanks
Guest guest
Hi Rhonda, My quick answer would be that the feverishness is die-off. If you're cold, it might have to do with the capillaries (smallest of the blood vessels) are too rigid to allow blood to circulate fully. Bee has explained this often in other posts. I think if you look up rigid cells you should find what you are looking for. Hope you get the answers you need, > > Hi, > I know that I have yeast overgrowth. Guest guest
Hi Margaret, My temps first thing are around the same as yours and I am on 100mcg of Levothyroxine. Even still that doesn't make it right. My temps are " normal " if I have a cold or infection. Even though I am on meds I still have hypo t symptoms. Do you any other symptoms? Lyndsay > > Hi All > > I have been taking my temp every morning for the past 10 days as soon as I awake before I get out of bed.It has been 36.2 mostly and a couple of 35.6.Can anyone tell me if this is okay for someone on thyroid meds???? > > Thanks a lot > > Margaret >
Guest guest
Dear Margaret, The problem with this question is who you are asking it of. For most docs, if you have not been exposed to cold and you are walking and talking, they will ignore low basal temperatures as well as low temperatures in general. Nominally normal is 98.6 F or 37 C. Routinely my office visit temperature is about 97 F or about 1 C low. That is ignored. My basal temperature is somewhere below 96 F or about 1.5 C below normal, albeit about 1.2 C below nominal basal temperature -- no problem -- medicine claims. However, that is not what Dr. Broda claims. These low temperatures (like yours) approach hypothermia, i.e. about 2 C below normal. Considering the over-the-top-aggression on diabetes, one wonders about this ignoring of an obviously potential metabolic problem. (And by the way, the hypothermia folks have a pre-hypothermia category that begins at about 96. Further, the hypothermia guidelines suggesting testing for a variety of hormonal deficiencies and drug interactions as well as exposure...) But the problem gets worse. Due to the lack of recognized diagnostics on the actual USAGE of thyroxine (T4) or triiodothyronine (T3) there is no information available for the doctor to do anything. And in this day of laboratory tests, we certainly can not have doctors treating on the basis of their clinical judgment.... I really wish I could laugh out loud on that one... But it is so to the point. Medicine relies almost exclusively on " objective " tests and then is reluctant to fill in the gaps with " subjective " evaluations. And then since you are on T4 already, then you may have a concurrance of a hypo mimic -- deficient peripheral conversion or deficient peripheral cellular hormone reception. Both of these require T3, which the docs are quite reluctant to prescribe as it is generally proscribed by the endocrinology establishment -- a matter which may be enforced by the General Medical Council. Have a better day, > > Hi All > > I have been taking my temp every morning for the past 10 days as soon as I awake before I get out of bed.It has been 36.2 mostly and a couple of 35.6.Can anyone tell me if this is okay for someone on thyroid meds???? > > Thanks a lot > > Margaret >
Guest guest
Hi Margaret - just because you are now taking thyroid hormone replacement doesn't mean your temperature will automatically become normal. You may have to wait until you get on to your optimal dose, or you might have an adrenal problem that needs sorting. How are you feeling is what really counts right now. Luv - Sheila Hi All I have been taking my temp every morning for the past 10 days as soon as I awake before I get out of bed.It has been 36.2 mostly and a couple of 35.6.Can anyone tell me if this is okay for someone on thyroid meds???? Thanks a lot Margaret
Guest guest
I have ALWAYS had a low temperature, averaging around 97.6 and sometimes going down to 96.8 but I think this is in the family. I don't worry about this as it is the way I feel that matters. Luv - Sheila My temps first thing are around the same as yours and I am on 100mcg of Levothyroxine.
