Guest guest
Hi , thank you for responding And yes, I avoid olive oil EV mostly and eat my fats as butter, coconut oil EV and some lard. But I still can't find my balance... I think my hormones and everything are out of balance for a long time, so I hope (and keep my fingers crossed) that when I come into balance more and more, my metabolism finds his own good way again! But I'm still so exhausted by die-off I am not able to walk or do anything much, so that will contribute also. Resting is more important now, so it seems. Till then I try to count my calories as much as possible, but the most important part for me is (and that keeps me going) is the fact I keep to this diet without cheating and that I'm healing my candida overgrowth and all side effects of that. How are you doing? *********************************************** Hey I remember Bee saying that Olive Oil will cause weight gain, but CO and butter won't, so if you're eating a lot of olive oil, maybe substitute with CO or butter? I'm avoiding olive oil when possible for this reason... I definitely need to LOSE weight, not gain! ;-)
Guest guest
Hey (and all!) I've been on this diet for about a week now... I had been gluten-free for a few months before that, so I pretty much skipped to doing the full diet right away (plus I tend to be impatient.) Have been very good about it except for the hand-full of candy corns I ate yesterday that I just couldn't resist! I've been seeing a holistic doctor as well for about 6 months and she's had me on a detox program with all kinds of supplements, so I'm not really starting from scratch. I also think I may not have as bad a case of Candida as some others I've read on the list, as I have few symptoms (vaginal itching being the one that got me looking to heal myself, fatigue, overweight, some minor depression at times.) I've actually been doing very well, I think. I can tell my energy is up and my mood is better. I got a cold over the weekend (die off?) and my vaginal itching has been worse (again, die off). I'm up to about 4-5 TBSP of Coconut oil a day, plus some butter, Not doing any Olive Oil right now. I haven't been good about making sure I'm eating the right proportions of protein/fat...baby steps. I wanted to get the habit started and then worry if I'm doing it right. I was totally overwhelmed when I first read all I had to do so I decided to do what I could to start and then progress as my lifestyle changed. I'm doing all the supplements. Have taken 2 Epsom salt baths - with my IPOD on, it's been hard to pull myself out (I'm not normally one who " take the time " to take a bath!) Did 1 Jazzercize class earlier this week and didn't die, so I'm planning on continuing with that. I have noticed a little more " ditsyness " recently - forgetting things, can't think of a word, etc. I guess my brain is drunk from the die off! ;-) My food has been pretty simple. Again, not sure if it's 100% correct, but it's what I can do for now. Bee's drink for breakfast. Lunch usually boiled chicken or eggs. Dinner has been some flank steak fried in as much CO as I can get to absorb into it, and some sort of veggie either sauteed in CO or topped with butter/CO. Haven't gotten up to 36 oz of electrolyte drinks yet 'cause I didn't buy enough lemons, but today I'm going back to the store and am going to get a bunch. Will just make the whole 36 oz in the morning (actually, it will be 33 oz, 'cause that's the size bottle I have, but still the same amount of lemon and salt, so it'll just be a little more concentrated) and drink it throughout the day. Started dry brushing a couple of days ago. No enemas yet, but am thinking of doing one to see if it can help with the itching. I am taking Benadryl at night 'cause I seriously can't sleep when it's this bad. Have also been spraying with a baking soda/water solution and applying CO directly before bed. Oh, and I've also lost a couple of pounds, yay! I guess that's about it for me for now. I have a file on my computer with all my Candida Diet notes and I always have it open when I read these e-mails (I get the digest so I read them all at once) and I copy over bits and pieces of info that I find helpful. It's much easier than trying to remember it all, for SURE! ;-) Again, I was starting having already done 6 months of detox and a gluten-free diet, so don't get discouraged if you're feeling worse after having started the diet - that's normal, but I'm definitely noticing a difference for the better in myself right now, so just keep " keeping the faith " . " If it's worth having, it's worth fighting for! " ;-)
Guest guest
Hi , it sounds like you're doing just fine! I too have some sort of Candida Diet notes on my pc where I collect everything I read in the mails and find useful. And I too just started somewhere, learning as I go along, still learning! I'm two months on Bee's diet and the best news is: since a day or two I am loosing weight again!!! So very happy about that. I read Eat Fat Loose Fat and another very good book about Low Carb dieting from Dana Carpender. I learned a lot and I am tweaking my diet between what I am allowed/have to eat on Bee's diet and to loose weight also. In Dana's book she writes that everyone looses weight quite quickly and easily on a low carb diet, especially when you keep your carbs intake below 20, which I do... Only a few don't, and they also have to count the calories every day to loose wait, but this was only a very little group.... I'm afraid I am amongst them... like Bee said: very sluggish metabolism. All the sickness has taken his toll I'm afraid, but I am happy now I found my way again. It gives hope that their is always a solution So I hope you will keep loosing weight easily, but foremost that you will cure all those symptomps that goes along with candida overgrowth. Keep up the good work!
Guest guest
Hi le, Can you please share your sour cream recipe with us? I would love to try it. Thank you, Gloria From: Bee <beeisbuzzing2003@...> Subject: [ ] Re: Olive Oil Date: Thursday, March 5, 2009, 3:19 PM > Also, I make a " sour cream " with almonds, as long as I have prepared the almonds properly, and don't use anything that is not acceptable on the diet, can I eat this? Sorry le. I forgot to answer this. If there is nothing but almonds in your " sour cream " it's okay. Bee
Guest guest
> > > > I have always used Olive Oil, but I have always used Light Tasting because I cannot stand the taste of just plain olive oil, but with starting this diet, I just went ahead and bought plain olive oil, ugh...it's gross. Is there an organic brand that has light tasting? Is light tasting OK to have on this diet or has it been processed too much? > > > > Also, I make a " sour cream " with almonds, as long as I have prepared the almonds properly, and don't use anything that is not acceptable on the diet, can I eat this? > > +++Hi le. You should buy a high quality " extra virgin olive oil " which must be in very dark bottles, cold- or expeller-pressed, and organic if possible. Some brands are stronger tasting than others. Maybe other members can suggest brands if you let us know what country you live in. > > Bee I live in the USA...I have extra virgin olive oil, but it is not organic. Will the taste be different if it is? le >
