Guest guest
Hello again, Thanks so much for all the valuable advice and recommendations, Bee. I have a bit more information about my situation re. the intense burning in my esophagus. I just received the results of a 3-day comprehensive stool sample. Seems I have elevated white blood cells, some occult blood in the stools which suggest bacterial infection and most possiblly an ulcer (maybe h. pylori). It's been an ongoing 6-month battle with this mysterious bacteria which I seemed to have contracted in Nepal last Feb (vaginal and now apparently esophagial). It has caused meto being put on *8* rounds of antibiotics which left me with a yeast overgrowth and still suffering from the bacterial infection. Because the stool sample showed no yeast, my family and friends are disagreeing that I ever had a problem with yeast and should discontinue the candida program. I have every belief that I've gotten rid of the yeast through diet the 5 weeks following up to the stool sample and my yeast symptoms will return if I begin to eat dairy, fermented and unrefined carbs again. Joint pain, brain fog, low energy and depression all left me. However, I must admit that I went from an unbalanced lowfat vegetarian diet for 20 yrs to a high protein, high fat diet in a short amount of time. I instantly feel acid up into my throat after eating a hearty chicken broth, where yoghurt and aloe juice feels soothing and what my body is telling me I need right now. I'm wondering if this diet has produced more acid in my system which my digestive tract can't handle? Can I go back to more whole grains with some fruit? This is what my naturopath recommends, but I wanted your opinion as well. I will defiitely start on saurekraut. Thanks for that reminder. What was your experience with your ulcer? Do you believe it was caused by candida? Is it possible to still have systemic yeast problem while having neg results from stool sample? burning, but hopefully optomistic, Heidi
