I will get just calcium citrate next time. Would it be okay to use up the bottle I have now or is the malic acid detrimental in some way? The problem is that 42% of calcium malate is absorbed, since that product doesn't state the " elemental amounts " (the amount absorbed), which is the amounts I recommend. Therefore you will need to take 58% more of that product to get enough calcium. +++1,300 mg x 1.58 = 2,054 mg per day, or 8 capsules - so take 4 capsules twice a day.
