Guest guest
>>i have to dig up my slow cooker recipe books. i love to use this during the summer time b/c it doesnt heat up the house like a stove/oven will. and it makes things taste so tender and juicy its like its melting in your mouth. when i dig them out i might work on typing up some recipes and post them if you like. << I would like that too! Any help to make mealtimes easier is always appreciated. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. Guest guest
Hi I would really like to buy a slow cooker for Christmas but have heard that the enamel on the ceramic pot can contain lead (or some other toxin - I can't remember) and I thought that someone out there would know if this is true or not. Also I was wondering if anyone knows about a healthier slow cooker. Maybe a stainless steel one? thanks (Homeschooling mum of two teens) Adelaide Australia
Guest guest
Have you thought of testng it with the lead test stick? I've done that with mine and it turned out fine. > > Hi > > I would really like to buy a slow cooker for Christmas but have heard that > the enamel on the ceramic pot can contain lead (or some other toxin - I > can't remember) and I thought that someone out there would know if this is > true or not. Guest guest
Hamilton Beach advertises their slow cooker as " prohibits the product from containing any measurable amounts of lead " , " according to FDA requirements " . Whatever that is worth.
