Guest guest
Hi Bee, I drank the egg drink for the first time and got really nauseated. It did subside after an hour. Is it from the coconut oil? Eggs? I read that some people who have candida can't tolerate eggs. Should I continue taking the drink, but maybe modify it? I appreciate your help. :-) -Susy

You can get nauseated by coconut oil, butter and eggs since they are all antifungal. Eggs are antifungal mainly because they contain sulphur, which is one of the 7 macro-minerals required by the body daily - also found in many other foods like meats, lemons, limes, nuts, and numerous vegetables. That's the reason some candida sufferers think they can't tolerate eggs and other foods. Our bodies are designed to consume good unadulterated foods, and those foods do not cause illness - they cure it!! +++Yes, you should modify the egg drink so you use 1 egg and less coconut oil, butter, etc. You should be starting on small amounts of coconut oil and butter, i.e. 1 teaspoon 3 times a day, or even less. Guest guest
I just wanted to share that I started the egg drink yesterday and am hooked! It is so yummy and satisfying! -Sara From: ita Scheer <citizen1ita@...> Subject: [ ] Egg Drink Date: Friday, January 9, 2009, 5:32 PM I still have not been able to do the egg drink except one time for fear of consuming raw eggs. I know they are supposed to be safe and I read the article, but still scared. Anyway, if you pour the boiling water over the egg and cook it a little more will it still be drinkable? And do you recommend organic eggs that haven't been pasturized, like from a local farmer? Or is store bought organic pasturized good enough? Thanks ita
Guest guest
.....Hello. I was wondering....The idea of raw eggs makes me sick. Is there a reason why I should prefer eating them raw? I mean, will this promote better health? I am eating medium boiled eggs for breakfast, isn't that good? If I have to eat them raw, I will. I would just like to know if it is better for us to eat them that way. I read that this drink is very energizing, but the thought of raw eggs is terrible for me. Thank you. Guest guest
Hi, ita - when you put the boiling water over the eggs, it cooks them. You can leave the water a little longer if you want them more cooked. Just blend your drink for a little longer and it should still be fine. sokolatapapaki - Raw is the best way to eat eggs because they heat destroys minerals, but having a soft or medium boiled egg is better than no eggs at all. And the eggs in the egg drink are cooked, not raw because you pour boiling water over them. Hope that answers your questions, > <snip> I am eating medium boiled eggs for breakfast, isn't that good? Yes, you can leave the hot water in the egg mixture long enough so the eggs are cooked, or you can poach the eggs first and use them in the drink. +++Eggs are not pasteurized. The best eggs are from local farmers who allow their chickens to run free so they can eat their natural foods, which are grass, bugs, insected, worms, etc. (they need the protein and fats to produce good quality eggs). If you can't get them from a good farmer, it is better to eat store bought organic eggs, rather than not having them. Next best after local farmers, is certified organic eggs from the health store.
