Guest guest
Dear Bee, I seem to be " sea-sawing " with sea salt! Some days I get enough, but other days I don't. I suppose this question applies to all supplements, but I'm mainly concerned with the salt: If I only get, say 3/4 teaspoon one day, should I try to have 1/4 teaspoon more per day over the next couple of days? Does our body use up any or all the supplements each 24 hour cycle, or does it average out over a week or so? Thanks-- Rhe

No, don't try to compensate for taking less one day, by taking more the next day. Don't be overly concerned if you only get 3/4 tsp. in a day. > > Does our body use up any or all the supplements each 24 hour cycle, or > does it average out over a week or so? +++The body doesn't average it out over a week, except some nutrients are stored so the body can activate and utilize them in future, when needed. Most nutrients must be provided daily, otherwise the body starts borrowing nutrients from itself. For example, if you do not consume enough protein in one day, the body will borrow what it needs from muscles in order to supply the needs of important vital organs like the heart.
