Guest guest
Hello again. I've come to a couple of conclusions I want to run by you, Bee. About 3 weeks ago, Marina and I ate some shrimp we shouldn't have. I bought it at a great market, but it sat in the fridge an extra day. When I was preparing it, it had the ammonia smell and I knew it was bad. But I asked Marina, and since it was late and we were frustrated because we didn't have anything else prepared to eat that night, she advised me to make it anyway. I decided to cook it an extra 10 minutes to " kill " the bacteria. (I've since learned that bad bacteria like that can transform itself into a more fungal-type that protects itself in spore-form... cooking or freezing cannot kill it). It incubated in me for 2 days, and then I became VERY sick for about 5 days. Constant diarreah, fever, messed up stomach, headache, etc... I was in bed for 3 days. It took a long time to get back to normal... We thought Marina escaped the effects. But looking back, we discovered that Marina began having those vaginal symptoms about 3-4 days after we ate the shrimp. Her intestines are also not working well, as they were before. (I can hear her stomach churning at night just like mine did when I was sick from the shrimp). The woman Doctor tested her, and says it was simply a severe overgrowth of lactobacillus (good bacteria), but that due to stress or weak immune system it had began linking itself together. It changes the PH of the vagina. It causes discharge and itching, cramping and a little pain. She prescribed Doxycycline, but she didn't take it... yet. For 2 weeks, she has faithfully done garlic and clove teas. Very few cheats on the diet. (She's a lot better than me in this respect!) She's also been doing fresh parsely tea, and taking Baking Soda Sitz Baths to try to adjust the PH. She was frustrated today, and asked me to get the prescription for antibiotics, which I did. But she is not going to take them yet, based on this letter to you!!! She wants to know what specific treatments you would advise to treat her intestines, if this is all linked to the shrimp we ate. What treatments would treat some really nasty-type bacteria we were exposed to in the shrimp?? Something natural, and strong. (Marina has been doing 6 T of VCO, as well as Oregano oil as recommended, but it's not cutting the mustard. Perhaps some type of enema or something?? I'm not totally back to normal either, but I think it affects women differently than men because of they way they are designed! The Doxycycline is sitting on a shelf, pending your wise advice!! Thank you so much Bee!! I'm now about to complete my 3rd month of full-time work! My brain doesn't work that well, but I'm covering up pretty good!! (I forget meetings and stuff all the time that I schedule with people). It's frustrating, but still manageable. I'm not overwhelmed with fatigue or anything, like I was before. Still a long way to go, but I've come a long way. Doug
