Severe Depression Success Story?

Hi,

I joined the group a couple of days ago because I am searching for a cure for my

depression. I suffer from very severe depression and anxiety and almost took my

own life last December after I'd gone off all my medication to try homeopathy.

The homeopathy did nothing and I went back on my medication in January '08. I

am doing well now but still suffer some symptoms of depression (irritability,

anxiety, loss of motivation) and I do not want to be on this medicinal cocktail

the rest of my life. I've been treated for depression for the last 21 years and

on medication most of that time.

I believe that the cure for my depression lies in diet, nutrition, and candida,

and I've been changing my diet and learning about real proper nutrition for the

last two or so months. I have not eaten simple carbs (bread, sugar, etc) for

these past 3 months and as of yesterday, the only carbs included in my diet are

vegetables, no more fruit. Although I do own a share of a cow, I am unable to

drink the raw milk I get from her because dairy causes me horrible and, in some

cases, life-threatening irritability. Even kefir.

I've looked through the page of success stories but could not find one from

someone who overcame debilitating depression (there are too many to search

through and read) though I'm sure there is at least one! Can someone point me

to a severe depression/anxiety success story or tell me their own? Someone who

has been successful going off their medication and is happy and content?
