Is coconut oil okay to buy in plastic jars? -for eating? -for topical

application to one's skin?

Hi ,

I think and hope it's ok cause I've been using coconut oil from

mountainroseherbs in a big

plastic bucket this whole time. So, hopefully that is not too bad. I know that

plastic can leek

out toxic materials but mostly when it's heated or chilled down a lot, since

it's in room

temperature I figured it's OK.

+++Hi . If the coconut oil is unrefined, undeordorized,

unbleached and cold-pressed or expeller-pressed and it is in a

plastic container it is okay. The plastic from most companies who

sell good coconut oil do not leach into coconut oil.

+++Coconut oil applied to the skin must be the same quality as you

take internally.
