Guest guest
Hi Bob, You are welcome. As far as the statin drugs go, I'd personally would NEVER take them. These things should be pulled off the market. They are one of the most toxic drugs out there. Their side will either kill you or leave you disabled and or miserable. If you do believe that high cholesterol leads to heart disease or heart attacks, I would find alternative ways to lower it. No doctor can force you to take any drug. YOU are in charge of your health. He or she is working for you, not the other way around. Research every med before you take them and every procedure you have and then make your decision on knowledge. Most doctors don't have our best interests in mind and they know 2 things, drugs and surgery. That must be heart wrenching seeing your son on meth. As you know meth is a very hard drug to get off of permanently. I'm curious why you are afraid for him to go on antidepressants? He can't get much worse if he's on meth. I think way too many people take antidepressants but I know people, including myself, who may not be here if it wasn't for them. I highly doubt they will keep him from using meth long term. But they may help him do what he has to do to recover. If you could also get him to take the supplements on this program that would be great. The bottom line is people that use alcohol and or drugs have deep emotional pain. I say this from experience. Your son isn't weak or a bad person. He's hurting inside. When he gets to a place where he can deal with his pain, that's when he will stop using. Finding a therapist he feels comfortable with is the first step and a very difficult one. My hat goes off to you for sticking by your son. I know this isn't easy. Take care, Tammy In a message dated 11/21/2008 5:37:57 A.M. I need to tell you that I do not have chest pains but said that in order to get my MD to a test (C protean reaction) I had to lie and say I have chest pains to get her to pass me on to a cardiologist who can approve the simple blood test. I worry now that I said that they will force me on statin drugs even if I don't want to. One thing that helped me a lot was hearing your spin about anti depressants in that, as if I did not have enough other problems my 30 year old son keeps going back to Chrystal meth after giving it up for 5 years and people say he is medicating his depression and docs and others think he should be on anti depressants that I have been fighting but not sure I should and now I am going to be more open to the idea after hearing from you, thank you. **************One site has it all. Guest guest
Hey Thanks one more time. Good news about my son is his has done 2 two year stints clean of meth and both times he just did it one or two times before he stopped. He has been working on getting his BS degree and he functions but does a lot of pot. On the other side of what you say about the statin drugs is like 8 people I know who have been on the drugs for over years and report no problems at all other than the time it takes to go in for a liver test once or twice a year. Do you or does anyone if the group know someone who had a bad experience from Statin?6 THanks Bob _,_._,___

The natural way to lower cholesterol is by taking Niacin (B3); start with smaller doses and gradually increase them. There's information on it all over the internet, but don't use any synthetic form of niacin, like niacinamide or non-flushing niacin.
