It's not always easy due to the social custom of drinking alcohol for any given reason. I find it hard at home and when I go out as a student. Everyone says " you don't want a drink??? " and you either have to start explaining why you don't drink or you have to lie and say that you are not thirsty during the entire party. As student parties are mostly about drinking alcohol and smoking weed, I simply tend to avoid them now. Even though it is a bit detrimental to my relationship with my friends. . PS: by the way, people used to call me " Beerminator " and I guess it has something to do with my being here right now fighting off Candida. So I wouldn't recommend developing such a nickname!!! Someone at a party would ask " what are you drinking? " I'd reply " nothing, don't you wish you were sober? " LOL! I could get high on life without any alcohol! But a local pub that has a lot of music at nights here has a wide assortment of non-alcoholic drinks available including all sorts of teas and apple, pineapple, cranberry juice, etc. There are always quite a few people in there drinking non-alcoholic drinks. From the standpoint of controlling candida, alcohol is turned into sugars in the body when it's broken down. So it will just feed candida. As I feel drunk without drinking and wake up with a hang over no matter what I do the day before, I wish I were sober rather than drunk at parties :-D. . Guest guest
Hi, , et. al! Thanks for replying to my frantic message! Have your cravings for alcohol disappeared on the diet? I'm trying to reassure someone that this will happen, as I know that my cravings for sugar go away when on the diet. But, this person won't take my word, as, according to him, " alcoholism is completely different than sugarholism. " Your thoughts? Thanks, > PS: by the way, people used to call me " Beerminator " >
Guest guest
I was the same way. That's why you are a " Yeastinator " now. I don't drink much any more though. Just if I go on vacation, or am camping in the summer. Guest guest
The physical cravings went away for me. After awhile the metal cravings are very small. They are only triggered in situations that I used to drink. For example, relaxing in our camper is sure good with a nice big glass of wine. Saturday nights on the deck was sure good with wine. Going to a restaurant needed wine. Cooking for a crowd was nice with wine. For the most part I don't hang around anyone who drinks much. That is a help. For me the candida didn't care if the sugar came from alcohol or food. It switched up on me and I craved something else after it knew I would not drink anymore. For me it got to the point where alcohol caused me to feel like death. I didn't know why at the time, however, I knew that my body felt relieved when I had it. That was the candida. I still think many people who battle alcohol problems would benefit from this program. Shelby
Guest guest
My husband was drinking vine almost every day. Recently I told him that I am not going to tolerate it anymore. He searched info about help from addiction and found it on-line. It is Kudzu supplement in high doses. He is taking it for about 8 weeks and now he don`t drink. When he tried to drink vine at the party he felt very drunk from small dose. It increased sensitivity and reduce cravings for alcohol. In my book Prescription for Herbal Healing I have red that Kudzu used to stimulate genes that fight cancer.Probably it is fine to take it with candida too. > > I was the same way. It may be very high glycemically, and then not good for Candida program. Anyone know for sure? Marissa

It seems that good fats really do eliminate cravings. (Worked for me and sugar cravings, as well.)
