+++Hi elisa. I'm afaid Dr. Mercola has gone overboard again. I read

what the Vitamin D Council wrote recently about vitamin A levels, and I

totally disagree, and so does the Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF).

Dr. Mercola writes a couple of times that WAPF disagrees. I've always

been a bit skeptical of the Vitamin D Council, and with this last

announcement about vitamin A they have totally lost their credibility

with me.

Dr. Price did laboratory analysis comparing vitamin A levels in

primitives he studied to Americans, and most primitives (who were

perfectly healthy) had over 10 times as much vitamin A.

I've taken 30,000 IUs vitamin A for over 23 years, and if it were a

problem I couldn't have cured my candida nor be totally healthy today!

There are also times I've taken 100,000 IUs vitamin A per day for a

cold and it always helped me.

WAPF also recommends 90,000 IUs per day (for limited periods of time)

to help women with heavy bleeding and fibroids.

Yes, a balance of vitamin A to vitamin D is required (which are the

levels that I recommend), and cod liver oil products/brands do vary.

That is why I did such an in-depth analysis of the different kinds, and

recommend extra supplements with some - see this article:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cod2.php

If cod liver oil I recommend were a detriment to health the many

members of this group who have gotten many health benefits from my

program wouldn't have been successful - see the many Success Stories:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php

There are quite a few great articles on vitamins A & D at WAPF. I

can't seem to get their website right now, but you can do a search to

find them.

The best, Bee
