It isn't normal for bowels to become large, which also stretches the intestines due to consumption of fibres and plant foods that contain cellulose which are indigestible. It is normal to have small stools like you describe. > > I was diagnosed with a hernia in my ascending colon area last spring > (only by the doctor feeling my abdomen with his hands, no scans or > ultrasounds. I left it at that but since being back on the diet I have pain in my back in that area and after feeling around it seems that there is a hard mass in my large intestine area. I will be checking this out but it has got me wondering about tumors, cysts etc. From what I have read this is the body's way of confining abnormal cells to one area but I am wondering if this diet would be also be able to break those masses down or atleast re-absorb them into the system. I am just curious as I am worried that I have a mass and before I head into testing and get sucked into the fearfulness and doubt of western medicine I want to have some info. +++A hernia does not involve abnormal cells being confined in a tumour or growth. A hernia is because of damaged or weakened muscles. It takes time for the body to heal naturally, and weak muscles involve so many factors. Some people may have such severe damage that they must have surgery to repair it. Bee
Guest guest
Hi Bee, Thanks for all your info! Regarding the hernia, I know this isn't caused by abnormal cells but I am questioning if I even have a hernia or if this is actually a lump. Also, I was concerned about ovarian cysts which is why I was wondering about what the body does with growths once it starts healing. > > > > Hi, I will try to keep these brief. > > Firstly, I was wondering if there may be an explanation as to why > > after long bouts of being off the plan and then going back on my > > bowels seems to be very small, about the size of my pinky finger. So your doctor did not say you had a hernia, he only indicated you had a lump? That is confusing. Is your lump in the same area as your ovaries are? Or is the ovarian cyst issue separate? Hi . The body heals any abnormalities such as cysts and growths. That is why it " retraces " during natural healing. Bee
