Hi Sara, I am in your same situation. whatever you do do not add

back foods that feed candida. Stop the antifungals until the

constipation subsides. Follow bee's diet. I would be careful with

butter though, it still contains a small amount of lactose. I still

can't tolerate it. Oh! and drink lots of broth! It is great.

+++Hi Sara. How long did it take you to changed over to this program

from your previous candida diet?

Did you ever have constipation prior to starting on that previous

candida diet?

If your large colon is absorbing toxins you would know, since those

toxins will go to the liver for processing, and you would have bad

liver pains. If you don't have bad liver pains, don't be concerned

about it.

I think you should do the 9-day Program to help you get through this

rough period of time:

In the meantime you should take more vitamin C every hour to 2,000

mg; if that doesn't help after 1 day, increase it again, and so on.

The best to you, Bee

+++Hi Sara. How long did it take you to changed over to this program

from your previous candida diet?

**I spent just a couple of weeks switching from my previous program to this

program.  I was very constipated when starting this program from my previous

program.  I jumped into my previous program 'cold turkey' and had instant

constipation that lasted for the full 4.5 months before starting this program.

+++Did you ever have constipation prior to starting on that previous

candida diet?

**about 10 years ago I suffered from constipation really bad (only having a

release once or twice a month) so I started taking psyillium/senna tea- which

messed up my digestive system.  Before starting the candida diet though I was

quite regular.

+++If your large colon is absorbing toxins you would know, since those toxins

will go to the liver for processing, and you would have bad

liver pains. If you don't have bad liver pains, don't be concerned

about it.

** so it is OK to continue to take antifungals even if I am not eliminating?

also, wont the 'rotting' material in my colon feed the yeast?

++I think you should do the 9-day Program to help you get through this rough

period of time:

**this is a good suggestion- I think I will do it right after xmas.

++In the meantime you should take more vitamin C every hour to 2,000 mg; if that

doesn't help after 1 day, increase it again, and so on.

**I'll keep trying this- thank you

The best to you, Bee

**thank you so much Bee- you are really amazing for keeping up with all these

posts!  You are a blessing!

+++Sara, you probably did not go onto this program slowly enough.

Since the fats are antifungal it is difficult to increase them

quickly, and if you lower your carbs too quickly without also getting

your fats up high enough it will cause constipation. I suggest you

add brown rice, soaked overnight of course for a little while until

you can get your rat ratios up the those I recommend.

+++The reason I asked is because your body will " retrace " previous

episodes with constipation too, but since you had it 10 years ago you

won't retrace it until you've been on this program for 10+ months.

+++Yes, you should continue taking antifungals, which at this point

in time should only be unrefined coconut oil. The material in your

colon doesn't seem to be causing you big problems since you didn't

say your liver hurt.

+++Let me know if taking more vitamin C helps, but adding brown rice

for awhile will also help you - see this article for soaking

instructions:
