It is totally false that meats/meat bones are acidic in the body. They are only acidic in water in a laboratory, but never in the body. Besides that, the entire acidity/alkalinity (pH balance) theory is false as well, and your body requires protein in order to maintain pH. pH is different in different areas of the body which is maintained by the body itself and cannot be influenced by eating acid or alkaline foods - see this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/acid1.php Meat provides many minerals, including phosphorus which is one of the macrominerals required daily. Acidity/Alkalinity of foods doesn't matter when it comes to health. In fact the whole theory is totally false - see these articles: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu5_1.php Bee
Guest guest
Just my two cents on the subject of acid in the body. In the past, I read many books on PH balancing and followed their protocols of eating lots of green vegetables. For many years, I tried to balance my PH and was always very frustrated because, in spite of drinking all kinds of green juices (including fresh wheatgrass), taking green powdered drinks and capsules, and eating tons of green vegetables, I still remained very acidic according to my test strips which were the lightest yellow. I really thought I was doomed! When I went on Bee's program, my strips became green, indicating a good acid/alkaline balance. I never would have thought it possible but I'm living proof!
