Guest guest
Hi Bee After doing some further research Bee I think I found out what caused my iron level to drop so much in little over a month. It was 25 then it dropped to 14. I was drinking approx 2 cups of green tea a day for that month or so. After doing more reading I found out that tannins in tea any tea but also the green tea that I was drinking prevents iron absorption. Especially if someone like me that is iron deficient to start with. Ummmm ..... now I'm trying to think what I can drink? Can't have coffee now I can't have green tea ..... any suggestions Bee or anyone blessings Bee Madonna

I don't really think tannins are causing the problem for you Maddy, but you can experiment and see what happens. I think you need to increase your " good " fats and ensure you are taking the " right " omega 3, etc. You were taking Salmon oil capsules, right? And we weren't sure how much omega 3 they actually contained. It is better to take cod liver oil; S & H now have Garden of Life (take 3 tbls. per day).
