Also, I have been so sick over the last 3 years, my diet was high in carbs, and not as good as it could be. I was vegetarian for years, and it made me very ill, but I never ate a lot of animal protein, until you diet. +++Hi Gail. 240 is definitely not high cholesterol. Women can have 1,000 total cholesterol and still be perfectly healthy, with no heart problems, which is according to the Weston A. Price Foundation. In fact cholesterol levels are a total non-issue when it comes to health - see the real cause of heart disease: http://www.westonaprice.org/moderndiseases/hd.html +++Also when your body detoxifies cholesterol levels will naturally increase, and thyroid problems caused by candida will also make cholesterol readings higher. This is so scary, I have always been taught to keep the level under 200, but I will trust you on this one. I'm not sure what spun my thyroid out of control years ago, but I now know that I had Candida, and feel it was related. Again, Bee thank you and you take it easy. This is so scary, I have always been taught to > keep the level under 200, but I will trust you on this one. +++Hi Gail. I understand how difficult it is to overcome such thinking. Did you know that the drug/medical industry has also been purposely lowering acceptable cholesterol levels in order to sell more drugs? According to Enig, PhD, of the Weston A. Price Foundation, acceptable levels, before the cholesterol scam, were 350. Also cholesterol tests can be very inaccurate, which can simply be because the person is stressed when their blood is being taken. +++Also, we must all know/realize that the drug and medical industries are businesses, so profits and money come before our health! > > I'm not sure what spun my thyroid out of control years ago, but I now > know that I had Candida, and feel it was related. +++Candida is not the only thing that could cause thyroid or other organ malfunctions, since all toxins make the cell membranes rigid/stiff, not just candida toxins. We are overloaded with toxins these days, and since the general consensus is against " good " saturated fats our bodies aren't as able to get rid of toxins. These fats, along with other nutrients, i.e. omega 3, vitamins A, D & E, minerals, protein from meats & eggs, etc. all work together to cleanse the entire body, strengthen every cell, and even help the body get rid of heavy metals. +++All cell membranes must be constructed out of 50% saturated fat (lung cells require 100%) in order to be healthy. Otherwise the cells are weak, take in more toxins, and they are less able to get rid of their own waste. > > Again, Bee thank you and you take it easy. +++You are welcome Gail. Have a great Holiday! Guest guest
Hi. What about if your triglycerides are 400? Is this dangerous? Why would they be that high if something wasn't wrong? Thanks, Rhonda ________________________________ From: madeitto502000 <gengland@...> Sent: Thursday, December 18, 2008 6:50:03 PM Subject: [ ] Re: High Cholestrol levels have me frightened > > +++Hi Gail. 240 is definitely not high cholesterol. > > +++Also when your body detoxifies cholesterol levels will naturally > increase, and thyroid problems caused by candida will also make > cholesterol readings higher. > > Bee -------Bee, thank you. Guest guest
> > Hi. What about if your triglycerides are 400? Is this dangerous? Why would they be that high if something wasn't wrong? > Hi Rhonda. Dr. Mercola says that if your triglyceride levels are elevated, it likely represents a severe abnormality of insulin balance in your body, and it is very important to lower them, and the cause of high triglyceridesis is a high carbs and not enough " good " fats. See this article: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2003/10/25/carbs- triglycerides.aspx It is very common for candida sufferers to have higher levels of triglycerides, which will definitely lower as you progress on this program. In the meantime don't be concerned. Bee
