I understand how upsetting this is for you and your dear Mother. Since she has avoided fats, her cell membranes will be weak, since they need to be constructed out of 50% saturated fat (lung cells require 100%). Weak cells allow more toxins in, and the cells are less able to get rid of their waste products. +++Vitamin A is very important for eye health, and it is in cod liver oil, but cod liver oil needs the " good " fats in order for the body to process omega 3 and vitamins A & D in it. Ensure she is taking the correct amount - see this: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/cod2.php +++It would be wise for her to do this program, which is not just for candida, since it is an overall healing program that improves anyone's health. I wish you the best in helping your Mother. Bee
Guest guest
Hello Adam I am sorry to hear about what your mom is going through with macular degeneration. I have some info about the cause which is lack of hydrochloric acid in the stomach for digestion. Last night, Suzane Summers was on Larry King and she has a new book called " breakthrough " . she mentioned yesterday exactly the same thing (which I thought Larry was skeptic about all her natural beliefs!). Also vitamin A and good oils are extremely helpful. Some people are using Total Ocular function which is an oral spray from Natural Opthalmics. Good luck and wish you and everybody in this group happy and peaceful holiday. love and peace haya
Guest guest
Hi Adam, I imagine following Bee's candida program will greatly improve your mother's ability to sleep through the night. Prior to following a candida diet I would wake up around 2am and be unable to get back to sleep. Now I sleep like a rock. I've had eczema my whole life and now exhibit no symptoms. I always felt there must be a " key " cause for my bazillion allergies and I was right - it has been candida overgrowth all along. Sure wish I had all the money ever spent in search of a cure! Guest guest
Hi Bee, Thanks alot for the response. I had the same feelings about this regarding the requirement for fats, and I think I am slowly convincing her. She's had that much brain washing from the mainstream " diet gurus " and associated propoganda, that it's hard to reverse such fears they propogate about fats, even though the results of such " low fat " " no fat " diets are anything but positive. As was done with her when she was told to avoid them. I have not seen much good from this other than her becoming much thinner and her skin she reckons has become drier and thinner also. She avoids sugar, which is good, and seems to eat pretty well, but I fear she eats too many carbs and not enough protein and animal fats and I hope to change her mind about that. She wants me to send her more information on the good about fats and I am going to do just that, thanks to your information that you have provided so unselfishly for others. Can such a disorder be healed/reversed at all? Even somewhat? She's reluctatant to really discuss it at this point, since it's early days for her and they're still trying to find out what KIND of macular degeneration she has (wet/dry). As to whether they can do treatment on her. Regardless, I wish to send her as much good info as I can and your website will help. Thanks again for such help and sorry for such a delay in responding. Merry Christmas by the way Bee, you deserve it! > > > +++Hi Adam. I understand how upsetting this is for you and your dear > Mother. Guest guest
Hi Haya, Sorry for the delay in responding. Thanks for your reply to the plight of my Mother. I think she does get quite a bit of vitamin A (she eats liver, eggs and has some butter and some cod liver oil), but she is sparing with them and I reckon she's afraid to be more liberal with her animal fats and this I think is causing more problems for her than she realises. I know that without fats, we don't get the absorption of these things and without ENOUGH fats, it would still be inadequate. I think the same about the hydrochloric acid in the stomach. I believe fats help increase that also. I really need to send her some good animal fat information like what Bee has (Dr Weston Price etc). I hope to totally remove her, I believe still remaining fears. It's hard to remove them when we've had so much false and misinformation from the so called diet gurus of today. Happy Christmas to you and a happy new year and thanks again. > > I have some info about the cause which is lack of > hydrochloric acid in the stomach for digestion. Guest guest
Hi Sara, Thanks so much for your post here. This is really encouraging, particularly as my Mother suffers so badly with insomnia. I have TRIED to get her to STOP eating bread (wheat/gluten/yeast), but she continues regardless. It upsets me when I think she could oust the high carbs and start using Bee's diet more, or at least incorporating most of it. But it's very difficult to change a person's mind and lifestyle. I honestly think her insomnia maybe due to candida and/or gluten intolerance but I can't get through to her. I find that my diet of protein and animal fats has enabled me to get to sleep most nights and sleep solidly. And I am a typical insomniac myself. Had trouble sleeping all my life. This diet has controlled that for the most part. I only get the old night where I don't sleep and funnily enough, I'm still pretty relaxed when it happens. I'll see what i can do about convincing her to give up some of these foods she insists on continuing to eat. If I can do it, she can! Cheers > > Hi Adam, > > I imagine following Bee's candida program will greatly improve your > mother's ability to sleep through the night. I hope you are successful with winning over your Mother to the traditional " good " fats that our ancestors lived off of for thousands of years (before industrialization and the drug industry). > > She wants me to send her more information on the good about fats and I am going to do just that, thanks to your information that you have provided so unselfishly for others. +++I'm glad she is willing to learn. That's the first step Adam! Hooray! +++I can't say for sure whether her macular degeneration will reverse. But I do believe Dr. Weston A. Price's research, in his book " Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, " that " proper nutrition " changes DNA/genes, so it will " improve " her health immensely even if it doesn't totally cure her macular degeneration. Natural healing is the long slow way to health, and some people get impatient, and sometimes the damage is too great. > Thanks again for such help and sorry for such a delay in responding. +++You are welcome for the help. It is obvious how much you care for your Mother. God bless you! > > Merry Christmas by the way Bee, you deserve it! +++Thanks so much bunch my friend! I hope you and your loved ones also have a Merry Christmas, and a happy healthier (hopefully wealthier) New Year! LOL! The best always, Bee
