+++Sara, it isn't a good idea to put pure ascorbic acid in capsules,

because it is hard on the stomach. So it is important to mix it with

water and have it with meals.

thanks- that would be the smartest way- but I dont have a scale.  does anyone

weigh their ascorbic acid and if so, can you tell me any amount: a teaspoon=?

mg's

thanks for any help.  I have no idea how many mgs I'm taking but I think I take

a lot!

Hello

The easiest thing to do is to weight the powdered vit C and then fill

perhaps 20 or more capsules, and then measure the weight difference of

the powder, and calculate the weight difference/# of capsules.

Hope this helps...

Hello again

I looked up the bulk density of ascorbic acid, and it is between 0.51 (fine

ground) and 0.72 (coarse ground) g/ml. 1 tsp = 4.93 ml. Does it say anywhere on

the vit-C label the density?  In a teaspoon you'll have about 2.5 g (fine) and

3.5 g (coarse). You've likely got fine ground vit C, so 2.5 g/tsp is a

reasonable estimate.

When I take my vit C, I take a half teaspoon dissolved in water, twice a day...

I didn't find the volume of 00 size capsules anywhere.

Regards,

Lawrence
