So it is important to mix it with water and have it with meals. Bee
Guest guest
thanks- that would be the smartest way- but I dont have a scale. does anyone weigh their ascorbic acid and if so, can you tell me any amount: a teaspoon=? mg's thanks for any help. I have no idea how many mgs I'm taking but I think I take a lot! -Sara From: plhooey <plhooey@...> Subject: [ ] Re: how many mg's of ascoribic acid are in the double OO caps? Date: Sunday, December 28, 2008, 12:47 AM Hello The easiest thing to do is to weight the powdered vit C and then fill perhaps 20 or more capsules, and then measure the weight difference of the powder, and calculate the weight difference/# of capsules. Hope this helps... Regards Lawrence
Guest guest
Hello again I looked up the bulk density of ascorbic acid, and it is between 0.51 (fine ground) and 0.72 (coarse ground) g/ml. 1 tsp = 4.93 ml. Does it say anywhere on the vit-C label the density? In a teaspoon you'll have about 2.5 g (fine) and 3.5 g (coarse). You've likely got fine ground vit C, so 2.5 g/tsp is a reasonable estimate. When I take my vit C, I take a half teaspoon dissolved in water, twice a day... I didn't find the volume of 00 size capsules anywhere.
