Christmas cheating.... but not feeling bad???

Ok..Christmas is over. After 3 months on the program, about 6 months

on supplements, I allowed myself some, maybe a lot, of holiday foods.

I expected to feel stuffy, tingly, tired, etc...all the things I felt

before when cheating. However, after 5 days of eating what I want, I

am finding that I don't feel as bad as I thought I would.

Why do you think this is? Is it that my immune system was built up

enough to handle the binge? My candia is not as severe as I thought?

By all means I don't feel as though I can " be done " with the program

but I was wondering if anyone has experieced this development. OR

maybe it's that the true effects of my holiday hog-out have not hit me

yet. Tomorrow it's back to the program 100%...guess we'll see what

happens.

Hi Amy,

I am just as thrilled as you not to have gone through any major setbacks from

cheating. I am visiting my family in Massachusetts and it would have been

impolite not to eat some of their foods. I did a 3 day cheat and wasn't out of

control or anything. I simply went right back on yesterday. The only thing that

I noticed was that the constipation came right back and as soon as I went back

on this diet, it got better. I am going on 4 months now. In the past I would

have a day of extreme hunger following any sort of cheat, so this is good news.

I am also getting stronger. I can exercise almost everyday while visiting by

taking 3 mile walks and doing Salsa exercise DVDs. I occasionally have a down

day but I don't push the VCO too much either. (still at 1 tbsp a day and afraid

to go up).

Happy New Year!

Joanne
