Can Statin drugs kill?

I know someone with the extremely high cholesterol levels who almost died

because his kidneys completely shut down within 24 hours of being put on statins

from the drugs flushing so much cholesterol out at once.  His body had been

getting rid of the excess cholesterol through his skin.  It looked like blisters

but they were filled with cholesterol.  The doctors quickly found out their way

isn't necessarily best.  Luckily, my friend was already hospitalized when this

happened.

This is very good information to know.  I would think that a person should start

with a small dose and build the dose.  Someone who works for me was started out

at 80 mg that seems to be a huge does.  If I ever go on them, which I am

beggening to think not, I will only start with a 5mg dose which I read somewhere

MAYBE Mercola does 90% of what a 20 mg dose.  Thanks BOB
