Greetings to you and your husband from snowy wintry Canada! LOL! I'm so happy you were able to pack your coconut oil, etc. okay. That's wonderful you are soaking up the sun and enjoying a lot of the foods there. > > Even here, I´m tired a lot... we´re hiking, kayaking, swimming, > walking, etc. and my body is doing OK but it is hard with this > fatigue. It makes me mad as I´m not eating many carbs except veggies and > lemons. +++Take your basal temperature as soon as you wake up, without moving except to put the thermometer in your mouth. If it is low you might have cut back thyroid meds too soon or too much. > > I just retested my thyroid and my TSH is 0.6 and my T4 Free is 0.9 > and they forgot to test T3 Free. Bee, just curious if your TSH is in a normal range. My doc doesn´t like that it is so low so he´s > rearranging my dosage a bit so I¨m a little heavier on T4. +++Yes, my TSH is in normal range. I take mostly natural thryoid, and a small amount of Synthroid since my body wasn't translating well enough after being on Synthroid for a long time. Your TSH and Free T4 are both low. Normal Ranges are: TSH 1.3 - 1.8, and Free T4 1.2 - 1.3. Dr. Rind writes: In cases of chronic adrenal fatigue, the body (actually the adrenals) can only handle a low amount of metabolic energy, so the TSH will usually be below optimal. This is an example of the body 'down-regulating' the thyroid energy. With this low level of thyroid stimulation, we find the T4 and T3 below optimal approximately at the same place on the scale. (e.g. TSH 0.9, FT4 0.95, FT3 282). Here's the reference on Dr. Rind's website: http://www.drrind.com/thyroidscale.asp#tests Candida sufferers have both low adrenal and thyroid function, which go hand in hand. The body down-regulates thyroid hormones when the adrenals are low. That's why this program is so good; it increases adrenal and thyroid function at the same time as your candida is being cured, but it does take time. Ensure you are doing mild exercises daily, i.e. dry skin brushing or walking or another form, which exercises the lymphatic system so it circulates better (the lymphatic system includes the thyroid, adrenals and other organs). Coffee enemas are great for decongesting the liver and the lymphatic system. Guest guest
Hi Bee, Thanks so much for your insights! I will have to teach my doctor about the low TSH, low T4 and adrenal connection. I totally hear you that I may have dropped meds to soon. I was on 1.75 (all Armour) and am now on 1.25 (1 grain, .25 of T4). The only reason I really dropped it was because my heart rate or pulse was quick and tight. Since I´ve dropped the meds, my heart beat is back to normal. I have been taking basal temp but under my arm (hope that is the same as under tongue). The first month on this program, you wouldn´t believe the ranges... 95.3 to 97.8. Just so you know, I´ve never had " normal " temps. Even on the 1.75 grains, my temps averaged around 96.7. Any ways, recently, I have had 2 basal temps of 98 degrees! I thought my thermo was broken as I´ve never had this high before! I have also been a lot steadier. The last several days have been in the 97ies and this is during the time of my cycle when temps are lower. I will definitely heed your advice and start doing a bit more activity to keep things moving. And I definitely want to try the coffee enemas as I haven´t done any enemas as of yet. I guess I could increase meds but feel that I¨m doing OK and would prefer to wean off slowly. I´ve been on thyroid meds for 5 years and I´m almost at 2 months on your plan. I just keep holding the faith that things will balance out and I´ll get my figure back . Hugs to you all! The thyroid isn't the only regulator of heart rate. When people first start on coconut oil it makes the heart race too. +++Toxins also cause the heart to race. Also your body may switch over from running on its parasympathetic nervous system to its sympathetic nervous system, which is common for candida sufferers starting on this program for these reasons: 1) More toxins are being released by candida due to the program, particularly coconut oil which is antifungal. 2) Your body reacts to the higher toxins by switching over to the sympathetic nervous system since it is in a healing crisis - to switch your body back, do deep breathing exercises: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/breath1.php > > Any ways, recently, I have had 2 basal temps of 98 degrees! I thought my thermo was broken as I´ve never had this high before! I have also been a lot steadier. The last several days have been in the 97ies and this is during the time of my cycle when temps are lower. +++Since candida toxins cause cell membranes to be rigid/stiff this interferes with the functioning of all organs and systems, and also hormones, nutrients, even water, are less able to get into rigid cells, so temperature will also be lower. > > I will definitely heed your advice and start doing a bit more activity to keep things moving. Don't make the mistake of cutting back on the fats because part of you still believes the FDA brainwashing about fats. Reread the Weston Price info on Bee's website to stay strong. When you have spent enough time healing, your body fat will go away and you will release the toxins that are stored in the fat layers.
