Hi, When we are curing candida we have to strengthen our immune system a lot. To do this we need to give our bodies enough nutrition. I think it's possible that the Buddha lived in a time where people didn't overeat or eat too much sugars and so people then didn't have candida. A healthy person doesn't need to eat as much as we do even the Optimal Diet says that when we are well we can eat a bit less. But so long as we have candida I don't think IF would be a good idea. Since " proper nutrients " are what cures anyone of diseases, whether candida or not, IF someone fasts they aren't getting proper nutrients. If the body doesn't receive what it needs, it borrows nutrients from itself in order to maintain health. For example: It will pull calcium from bones and teeth in order to maintain proper calcium blood levels and to nourish vital organs. +++Fasting can be very beneficial now and again if one is healthy!
