It's been a slow process, but I have seen positive results already.

The diet has not been difficult since I was already taking coconut

oil and eating a fairly NT diet. It did take me awhile to get all the

supplements, though, and it is just this past week that I have been

taking all of them. That has made a big difference! My energy is

increasing and my muscle and joint pain is decreasing.

++Hi . That's wonderful you are making such good progress on

my program. Good for you!

> My question is about food reactions. I was very happy to hear that

we cannot be allergic to good foods, but I am interested in more

details. For years I have gotten migraines from exposure to any

peanut products. Then, in the spring of 2007 I began reacting to all

nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, peppers and eggplant). If I eat any

of them, I break out in a rash and have breathing trouble. Also,

three of my six children have problems with dairy - rashes for two of

them, vomiting for the other. I am hopeful now that we can overcome

these issues! Why, though, do we react this way? I know the candida

is at the heart of it, but would you please share some details or

point me to the correct articles? Thanks!

+++When I write about food reactions, I make it clear that

only " unadulterated " foods do not cause bad reactions, illnesses,

etc., but good unadulterated foods will and can cause healing

reactions because they help the body heal itself.

+++Peanuts are not an " unadulterated " food since they are all

genetically modified and contain mycotoxins (fungal-type toxins).

+++Any vegetables that aren't " organic " or " certified organic "

contain high levels of pesticides, so they wouldn't be unadulterated

either, and people will react to such poisons, particularly if they

have candida and a depressed immune system.

+++The nightshade family contains medicinal substances; mainly

nicotine (solanine) which is antifungal. We know antifungals kill

off candida, which in turn produces more toxins, and those toxins are

released through the skin, causing rashes, etc. Nicotine (solanine)

are also helpful for lung problems/asthma so breathing problems could

intensify because of healing reactions.

+++If your kids have candida they will react to the lactose (sugar)

in dairy products (all except butter) since it feeds candida. The

rule about lactose is: " The higher the butterfat content the lower

the lactose, " so that's why butter is fine for people with candida.

Some people also cannot break down milk proteins in butter, but they

can have ghee which has the proteins removed.

> Looking forward to salsa again!

+++When you react to good unadulterated foods, in order to be able to

tolerate the healing/die-off reactions you would start with small

amounts, and only gradually increase them.
