Guest guest
Since starting the candida diet about 6 weeks ago, I've noticed a HUGE improvement in my PMS (thanks, Bee!!!). It used to be that two weeks before the start of my period, I would know it was coming because my face would break out and my irritability would increase 10 fold! This time, however, the irritability is negligible (I NEVER thought I'd be able to say that) and I have one tiny red spot on my face. Now, don't get me wrong, the cravings are definitely much better too but they are, by far, the most noticeable symptom. Usually anymore, my cravings are just a blip across my mind and I think, " Ah, I don't need that. I don't even want that! " Today, though, I'm finding myself looking at cakes and cookies like I haven't in weeks and thinking about Diet Pepsi and saying to myself, " One cookie wouldn't hurt, would it? " Of course, I won't give in and I'll try the vit. C once I'm home, but I'm curious why the cravings are more pronounced right now, during PMS. What is it about this time that causes these cravings? I once heard the reason our bodies crave simple carbs during PMS is because the increase in the hormones in our bodies also increases our metabolism and simple carbs are the easiest to break down for energy. Thoughts? TIA, ---- and the JRTs Nunn, CO
