Traveling and Supplements

Hi Bee and Others,

Firstly, i'd just like to say how much of a godsend this diet plan has

been to me. It's helped my health in many aspects and I am extremely

grateful!

I am going to be traveling to Brazil for two and a half weeks on Jan 7

and would like to be fully prepared. Can travelers help me out on this?

1) Cod liver Oil might be a tough one to travel with. It needs to be

refrigerated! Are there any other routes I can take to get the correct

amounts of Vitamin A and Vitamin D? If not, what is suggested as to

traveling with Cod Liver Oil?

2) Coconut Oil seems like is a necessary travel liability. I certainly

don't want to be carrying around the glass quart jar of coconut oil

that I have in my cupboard. Can anyone recommend a good tupperware

that will seal well enough to safely throw in a checked on bag? Or any

other ideas to take this oil with me?

Further questions for Bee**

1) Normally, i've been taking Natural Calm's powder form of Calcium

and Magnesium citrate. It may look like I need the easier to take

capsule form for my travels. I've looked at different brands, such as

Natural Factors and Source Naturals - but the thing I don't see is the

elemental amounts.

I did a little research and since these supplements don't state

elemental amounts, the 350 MG of Calcium Citrate i'd be taking only

has an elemental amount of 21%, the magnesium citrate- 16% - this

would mean I would have to take 4 capsules twice daily of cal citrate

and 5 capsules twice daily of mag citrate. Is this true?

I found a cal mag supplement that also contains vitamin d, and zinc:

http://www.vitacost.com/Natural-Factors-Calcium-Magnesium-Citrate-With-D

(scroll down to see the ingredients)

This would be easier as i'd only have to take ~11 daily instead of a

total of 18 daily for cal and mag seperately. Is the zinc, manganese,

etc going to be a problem?

2) I've bought some Vitamin E from Source Naturals only to find out it

contains soybean oil. Is it that bad for you that I should toss it? It

only cost 10 bucks...just seems like a waste.

3) One book you recommended which I have purchased is 'Natural

Hormonal Enhancement' - Their NHE plan has carb cycling involved. Is

this something you would recommend once I am cured of Candida and am

trying to actively build and hold on to muscle afterwards?

Thank you so much,

Geo
