Guest guest
Hi my name is I am a 28 year old male A little over a year ago I contracted Candida which was almost certainly sexually transmitted from a female as the symptoms flared up 24 hours later. It has subsequently transformed into what I believe to be Balanitis as a result of Candida. It seems to be localized rather than systemic as I have not encountered problems anywhere else. But I am not certain how to properly delineate those boundaries. Initially my symptoms were lesions/sores under the foreskin, yeast like build-up and odour, itching and redness. I was cleared of all other STDs and was assured it was stricly a skin problem. I have tried Caneston (with and without steroids) which did very little to help Fluconazole relieved symptoms fully then came back shortly after Loprox relieved symtpoms fully then came back I tried all of these never being informed of any diet restrictions. Over the past year my symptoms have decreased some, although now it is much more difficult to retract the foreskin on my penis when I am not using any Loprox. I have no health insurance so Loprox is getting expensive, but when I do not use it I experience dryness, peeling and regenerating, and redness under the foreskin. These symptoms are greatly aggravated by friction. Any general advice would be greatly appreciated if you anything to offer, but I suppose my main questions are: Should I be using a topcial antifungal directly under the foreskin of my penis, like loprox, while on Bee's regimen? If so which one? Or perhaps I should just monitor how it reacts to the diet without any topical antifungal? I am also allergic to nuts (and coconuts) is there anything I shuold stay away from in the diet besides the coconut oil? (there are a lot of extracts and such that I have never heard of) It has been over a year and I am at the point where I am considering circumcision. I am not keen on it but am open to it. Some doctors maintain that it is the way to rid myself of the irritation/balanitis. Others are dead set against it, saying it should clear up, but keep prescribing me loprox.. The website is incredible, Many thanks,
