Aliano,

dont be confused with Coconut Oil (cooking oil) and VCO (virgin coconut oil).

Depends on what we are talking about, but...

Heat definitely affects coconut oil per se...this is a fact. If you use coconut

oil for cooking then don't worry about how heat affects it...you will have to

use RBD oil that has undergone multiple processings to become a coconut cooking

oil.

BUT, if you are going to take VCO as a dietary supplement and take it in

directly by the spoonfuls...this is a different story all together.

Hey Bee & Gang,

After you open a container of coconut oil, is it okay to leave it out

at room temp? I've been refrigerating it, but of course it's rock

hard when I need to use it and I have to cleave into it with a fork.

I'm very paranoid about my food getting moldy and I live in a humid

climate.

Thx,

Hi Nanyc. You always keep coconut oil at room temperature, and not in

the fridge, since it keeps for 2 years that way.
