Guest guest
Hi Bee, Please tell me why tapering off hydrogen peroxide is necesssary. I understand why it is advisable when starting to minimize die-off, but I don't know why one can't quit it cold turkey at the maximum intake level. Also, when you mentioned before that you could only eat 9 types of food when you had candida, was it because they contained small amounts of carbohydrates? I find that when I eat broccoli (73% carb), cauliflower (63% carb), or green beans (80% carb -- these percentages are from nutritiondata.com) my oral thrush becomes worse. Basically, the only veggies I can eat for dinner are lettuce or other leafy greens for minimal night-time thrush symptoms. Small amounts of broccoli don't bother me so much if I eat it for breakfast, but I wonder if I cut out these veggies completely, I would be rid of candida more quickly. Needless to say, with a diet already so restricted, cutting these veggies out all together would be a disappointment. Thank you for your time. Usually you would taper off any treatments, since the body has gotten " used to " the higher level, and they need to be gradually decreased it at the same rate it was increased. I don't know exactly why, but I do know that if a person is on high levels of vitamin C for cancer, if they suddenly stop it, their symptoms return with a vengence (this was documents by Dr. Linus ing during his vitamin C experiments). +++You could try going off cold turkey and see what happens. > > Also, when you mentioned before that you could only eat 9 types of > food when you had candida, was it because they contained small > amounts of carbohydrates? I could only eat lamb and eggs for protein. +++Most people who first start on the diet will have oral thrush get worse for awhile, which isn't a bad thing, and eventually it clears up again. +++It isn't possible to cure candida more quickly than your immune system is able to be be built up, which is mainly done with " proper nutrients " (diet+supplements), and by eliminating toxins. It takes time for the body to heal itself naturally. The best to you, Bee
