Guest guest Posted December 25, 2008 Report Share Posted December 25, 2008 Merry Christmas everyone! I´m in sunny Costa Rica and soaking up the Vitamin D . The food here is great! Lots of fish, beef, eggs, veggies, simple sauces of garlic and butter, and avocadoes. Unfortunately, I can´t find a lemon! They only have limes and, man, are they sour! As I´ve been putting on my bikini these last couple of days, I´ve noticed just how " fat " I´ve become. I´ve lost so much muscle tone it is kinda scary! Years ago, I did a low carb diet and had a very similar reaction to my body shape. I´ve been really slacking on my exercise as the fatigue in the beginning stages of diet was so intense so that is part of it too. Even here, I´m tired a lot... we´re hiking, kayaking, swimming, walking, etc. and my body is doing OK but it is hard with this fatigue. I hold onto other testimonials that it will pass. I also reduced my thyroid meds so that might be making me fatter? I am wanting to cut back on my fat intake because I just feel so fat! It makes me mad as I´m not eating many carbs except veggies and lemons. I just retested my thyroid and my TSH is 0.6 and my T4 Free is 0.9 and they forgot to test T3 Free. Bee, just curious if your TSH is in a normal range. My doc doesn´t like that it is so low so he´s rearranging my dosage a bit so I¨m a little heavier on T4.
