Guest guest
Hello, Hilda: When I was the active moderator of both the Hulda and the hypothyrodism groups back around 1998 or so, I had communications with Shomon. I had made a post recommending Thyrodine liquid, and she viciously attacked me on both the list that I was moderator of, as well as her own list. Thyrodine, which I believed to have merit and credibility, and advocated the members checking out and taking, but was very opposed to, and called it quackery. She was not willing to even look at the manufacturer's data or scientific studies done on the product. Because the product was developed by a chiropractor, and not FDA approved, she would not approve of its use. I personally took the product , and found it to be very helpful in my own medical improvement. The product is no longer available, and I strongly suspect that Shomon launched a personal crusade against Thyrodine, bringing it to the attention of the pro-allopathic authorities who are opposed to alternative treatments. As I am against censorship, I did allow her post to appear at that time, even though it was vicious, hurtful, and created a big rift within the group. Back then, onelist was being used. My personal opinion is that Shomon believes that she is a self-appointed expert on hypothyroidism, and has a know-it-all attitude. Although much of her information is valid, certainly not all of it. However, if Shomon attempts to post on this list, I will moderate her post, and exercise my moderator's right to censor or not allow her post to appear. Some may consider it being petty for me to bring this up now after all of these years, and I do admit that I am receiving a certain amount of personal satisfaction in posting this now, after years of anger building up against what she did. So, you all may believe what you choose to believe. Those on this list who know me would give my post some credibility. I hope this does not reignite another flame war in this group. I am going to assume that someone will notify of this posting, and expect her to try to retaliate to make herself look good. Ira M. Fine, moderator of the hypothyroidism group. I found two products on the market by that name. Pinnacle laboratories makes one; the other is called Thyrodine Complex, made by LTP Natural Products. Both are essentially rich sources of iodine. The complex provides about 10 times as much as the Pinnacle product. Chuck
