Guest guest
I'm just curious, but before you could go to the store to buy your thyroid medication...what did people do or didn't they know about it prior to the pills? I just know I remember hearing that they would get it from pigs thyroids. So did they actually give people a little of the pig thyroid to eat? Just curious as I was thinking about that. If that's what they did...how did they judge how much to give if you couldn't check levels? My friend and I were talking about her son with diabetes and how did they used to get insulin or test blood etc. So it got me thinking about this. Does anyone know? I don't even know how to look that up online.
