Science is a method for eliminating alternative hypotheses through

empirical testing. It is no guarantee and mostly plays odds. However,

anecdotal evidence is entirely rejected, because it all too often leads

to false positives.

As I said, many drugs are pulled off the market because of undetected

side effects, but not because they prove ineffective after proper tests

have shown them to be effective. Every one of your examples was pulled

due to side effects, not due to a suddenly discovered lack of potency.

Evidently, " scientific " is not the only word that is meaningless to you.
