Guest guest
What we find may well be new physics and/or new laws that we now know nothing about. , I'm saying this with all due respect to your intellect. It seems that you get upset about new ideas that might challenge what you know. I have the other side of the question about knowledge and/or information. I don't care where it comes from, or if it is contrary to what I know. Information and knowledge is what's important, not whether it changes what we think is reality. New information and knowledge has been happening ever since this world was created I think that's wonderful not scary. <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge! Guest guest
I have very varied chemical sensitivities, and it has nothing to do with an open mind. I was interested in the types of things they give for hypothyroid, to see if any of them might be all right for me to use, or be a problem with my given chemistry. I have not attacked you in any way and I don't understand the defensive position you have taken with me. <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge! Just because something isn't seen doesn't mean it's not there<> From: maria p <khusha8@...> Subject: Re: Recalls hypothyroidism Date: Friday, February 11, 2011, 10:10 AM I did give you a substantial answer, which I repeat: it does not specifically matter what I took, in Homeopathy every patient gets a different treatment even if it is for the same illness. The illness does not get treated the patient does. The substances I was given changed over the course of four months as my condition changed. If you were seriously interested in learning you could look up what sort of substances Homeopath prescribe for certain patient's conditions. I could call my Homeopath and ask, but given the attitude it would be a waste of my time and his. I don't ask him what are the substances he gives me, I'm not interested in self medicating or being a homeopath myself. The fact that I no longer have Hypothyroidism is enough for me to trust him on this. If you are not interested in finding an alternative to a problem that so far you have not found a solution to, well... Still hopping you will be well. Good luck. . > > > ... Guest guest
That's twice in one digest that you've attacked Roni, who is probably among the first here to try to be of help to someone. That is inexcusable, pathetic behavior. Besides, she wasn't the one doing most of the questioning of the effectiveness of homeopathy, I was. If you wish to have an intelligent discussion then you need to attack a POSITION with which you disagree, not a person. .. .. > Posted by: " maria p " khusha8@... > <mailto:khusha8@...?Subject=%20Re%3A%20Recalls> khusha8 > <khusha8> > > > Fri Feb 11, 2011 8:56 am (PST) > > > > Hey I could call my Homeopath and ask what where the components in the > mixture he gave me. Guest guest
Hi, Roni. Please see comments below... .. .. > Posted by: " Roni Molin " matchermaam@... > <mailto:matchermaam@...?Subject=%20Re%3A%20Recalls> > matchermaam <matchermaam> > > > Fri Feb 11, 2011 5:19 pm (PST) > > > > What we find may well be new physics and/or new laws that we now know > nothing about. .. .. Indeed we might. But when we do they are highly unlikely to contradict the present physical laws that have been tested perhaps millions of billions of times. Therefore we can have a pretty good level of confidence that whatever new laws are discovered will supplement rather than replace existing laws. .. .. > , I'm saying this with all due respect to your intellect. It > seems that you get upset about > new ideas that might challenge what you know. .. .. Actually I find new ideas exiting. That's why I'm fascinated with quantum mechanics; and why dark matter and dark energy are so interesting. And you'd probably be surprised at the number of books dealing with bizarre claims such as parapsychology that I have read. What does bug me to no end is the quacks and con artist who prey upon the gullible, sick and desperate person only to enrich themselves. I try to do whatever I can to prevent those here from being their victims. I do not get excited by the same old crap that has been chewed to death so many times that it is really tiresome to hear it yet again. .. .. > I have the other side of the question about knowledge and/or > information. I don't care where it comes from, or if it is contrary to > what I > know. .. .. The source of information is just a quick guide to its probable accuracy. If Chuck tells me something in science then I'm going to give it a lot more respect in my investigation of its validity when it contradicts an opinion I hold than if it comes from, say, Hulda .. .. > Information and knowledge is what's important, not whether it changes > what we think > is reality. .. .. Actually if it changes what we think is reality it is probably much more exciting and valuable IMHO. Some of our most cherished beliefs are being challenged by the discoveries that point to the possible existence of dark matter and dark energy; although AFAIK their existence is not positively established. .. .. > New information and knowledge has been happening ever since this world > was created > I think that's wonderful not scary. .. .. Wonderful and thrilling. And somewhat scary in a way too. .. .. > > <>Roni > Immortality exists! > It's called knowledge! > > Just because something isn't seen > doesn't mean it's not there<> > > > > > > From: <res075oh@... <mailto:res075oh%40verizon.net> > <mailto:res075oh%40verizon.net>> > > Subject: Re: Recalls > > hypothyroidism > <mailto:hypothyroidism%40> > > <mailto:hypothyroidism%40> > > Date: Thursday, February 10, 2011, 3:05 PM > > > > The fact that science can change and has changed in the light of new > > evidence is one of its crowning glories IMHO. Guest guest
Oh good! Then we may both find ourselves one day floating around above the traffic jams. Now, if they could only get rid of the polution that's put into the air, water and food maybe some of the illnesses we suffer from would gratefully go away. <>Roni Immortality exists!
