I would think you need more testing. Free T3, FreeT4, ReverseT3, antibody tests,

iron and ferritin tests and another TSH.

 

It's best to take these tests all together in the morning after a 12 hour fast

with no medication

OF ANY KIND before the blood draw.

 

When you get your results ask for a lab copy of the tests. You can post your

results here along

with the labs ranges for each test and they will be able to be interpreted.

Always get hard copies

of any testing you have done for anything.

We have had several people check in to this list with TSH over 100. However,

this is more an indication of the time for which the thyroid has been failing

than the severity of that failure. When the pituitary recognizes that thyroid

levels are still too low, it responds by increasing TSH production. This

extended time without treatment does increase the risk of irreversible injuries

to other organs.

That's very high. IMHO it's more likely to be an indication of an

extended time of being hypothyroid without treatment than anything

else. I have heard of people being much higher than that.
