It is a lot of fun... anyway, the first book we started to read is called, " My Brother Made Me Do It " by Peg Kehret. As he was reading it he came out really excited and told me it is a story about a girl with JRA. How cool is that! Many of the kids are reading this book now and are starting to talk to him about it. Guest guest
I am glad you were able to find it. I get so excited whenever there is any information regarding JRA that our kids can relate to. The great thing about this book, is it is a chapter book and it doesn't send the message of a kid with a horrible crippling disease....Have fun reading. Re: book Hi, I checked with our local library and every book store in town,I turned up nothing, but ahh the power of the internet.I ordered through Amazon.com and it should be here within a few days.I cant wait to read it.I will be saving it until is older. Guest guest
> > Conquering Chronic Fatigue: Answers to America's Most Misunderstood Epidemic > by Forester > Anyone have an opinion on this book? Forester is treating " Chronic Fatigue " , which has absolutely nothing to do with CFS. - " Conquering Chronic Fatigue " Answers to a Vastly Misunderstood Epidemic Is the best part of your day over when you wake up in the morning? Or worse, when you wake up in the middle of the night and can't get back to sleep? Have you felt unusually tired day after day for months, and sleep doesn't seem to refresh you? Are you experiencing unexplained symptoms that cause you to feel weak, ill, confused and fearful? Perhaps you have seen a physician (or several) and they suggest a diagnosis of depression. In reality, you may be suffering from one of the chronic fatigue syndromes. Chronic Fatigue - " the sense of inadequate energy and malaise of mind and body, hindering one's quality of life. " Conquering Chronic Fatigue - a book for MD's and lay people who want answers for these complicated problems. It may be the only medical book that begins with a " miracle " -- a random encounter that brought a life changing discovery to the author and a lady named Jodie. This incredible experience occurring in Colorado, birthed this book. The first chapter entitled " Three men in an old truck " describes the event. " 17 fatigue causing illnesses are discussed in depth. Approximately 90-95% improvement of remission on my patients. This was the best place for me to search, because these journals report the actual results of studies and are not simply people's opinions, as is most of the material in popular magazines and books. Guest guest
OOps sorry, double posted then :S. It is reassuring yet kinda scary, but I fear probably true. They can look into the brain with MRIs and skilled surgeons can take out tumours like the surgeon in Leeds did and I was so relieved, this kind of thing came a long way because of technology and the skill of the surgeon, but medicine as a whole isn't what it is cracked up to be is it? Not exactly as wonderful as they would have us believe. lotsa luv Dawnx

Guest guest
Thank you very, very much. I ordered it for my wife. And, to boot, if you select free mail, it is only $14.96. Guest guest
I've noticed these high prices seem to occur when Amazon no longer carries a book. Then the folks who own a copy of the book sell new or used copies at astronomical prices. Guest guest
Just google around -- here's a place selling for approximately $14 - and when I started to leave the page, they offered me $5 off LOL. Total Knee Replacement and Rehabilitation: The Knee Owner's Manual - Buy Cheap Books at DiscountBookSale.com There are some other sellers. Amazon sometimes has strange pricing on out of print books because one person will set a crazy price and then other people with the book will think there is something rare about the book because of the one price. It's not amazon's prices as they represent private sellers. Guest guest
I'll have to get that book. I've read so many books I never get much done! Isn't funny how every author has dif opinions, How do you sort it all out Bee? I think I was never successful before because most books say u can have some fruit and grains (brown rice). I can't even have brown rice, I spit up mucus all day. When I was really sick I just ate veges and brown rice, but I didn't get better and I spit up ALL DAY AND NIGHT.Or the Hippocrates diet all fresh fruit and veges, but the fruit feeds the evil candida, so I don't get it. They say, best case it takes one and a half years to feel better. This must be working because I felt like I had the flu all night, fever, chills, and I'm soooo tired today like I have never been. I just want to sleep. I felt good yesterday, so I knew I was in for something! I'm still constipated, but I'm puree every thing now, even my meat. i feel like I'm actually finally getting some nutrition when I do this. I know the body takes time to adjust to a new diet and boy is this new for me. The rest of my family just loved meat, I just always liked sweets. Just didn't have a taste for it. Jeanne

I always think from the point of view that God didn't make any stupid bodies, and Nature gets it right! If we follow Nature's fundamental laws on health we will be healthy. If we don't, we get sick. Guest guest
Hi, When I first developed E.I/E.S, I began writing a book and requested participation to tell our stories. Nearly every day I have been meeting more people who have this illness. It is scary. I have been talking my head off because people are so unaware of the dangers. We can feel it, but it is affecting everyone. People seem to really listen. I am sending out the first couple of paragraphs of my stories. The first one is the overall living with E.I. The second one is my personal journey dealing with requesting accommodation and continually being blasted with cleaning solutions, cologne to losing my job, leaving my house, through the death of someone significant in my life and my journey to find a safe place, the experiences along the way, some of the people I have met, and the spiritual experiences I have had while trying to recreate my life. By the way, I am still in process. So, I am requesting if you agreed or would like to participate to send me your experiences, how you cope, how you became ill, what are you having to go through living with this. You can email me with your experiences or lf you would like me to do a phone interview with you that would be fine too. My phone number is 760-487-1302 Here are my first two paragraphs. Peace and Health to you all: Not in my wildest imagination did I envision living with environmental illness, or being a part of a group of people known as the canaries. The illness has challenged my very being. Environmental illness takes the forms of chemical sensitivity/electrical sensitivity and is a debilitating sickness that is often invisible, unheard of and un-believed. It affects people from all walks of life and spans across continents. People have acquired the illness from being in an environment that is toxic to their system; either being exposed to toxins in small amounts over a period of time, or after one large exposure. The way in which people have developed their illness is as varied as the people and the symptoms they have. The challenges and obstacles that people face in order to obtain life’s most basic necessities can be overwhelming. This book is to give the reader an overview of life with environmental illness as well as personal testimonies of peoples experiences who have this illness. People with this illness are known as the canaries, in reference to the canaries that were used by miners because their systems were so sensitive they would be the first ones succumb to toxins in the environment. We the people with environmental illness are the canaries and we are sharing our voices. Personal story: This has been one of the most difficult periods of my life. During the last six months I have had to use all my internal as well as external resources just to keep myself together. It has been extremely challenging. I am an optimist and have chosen to use this time for personal and spiritual growth and development. When you are faced with life's challenges, that is when you grow, and how you handle yourself is what defines you. But, it has been extremely hard. I always think that life prepares you for things to come, I feel like I am quite developed. I would like to just enjoy life and develop in a less drastic manner. I have never had what one would consider a normal life. Normal what is normal? The older I get the less normal everything seems. What has kept me together in life has been my faith in God, my family and friends. It has been the only thing that I have been able to consistently count on. ____________________________________________________________ Staples & #174; Weekly Ad Sneak Peek Staples Weekly Ad for fantastic deals & #38; Computer Clearance! http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3131/4c9348399d43cc28d75st01duc
