Hi All

Looking through the posts on weight loss, I came across one from Chuck and one

from Roni, I would like to ask for a little more info:

Chuck, may I ask were you able to keep the weight you lost off? The 40 lbs you

lost sounds pretty amazing to me. After the month's plateau were you able to

lose weight again?

Roni, sounds like you have been successful too with weight loss on low carbs is

this right? Have you been able to maintain it?

I maintained the weight as long as I stayed on the right amount of carbs. I came

down wth Fibromyalgia and I have really gone off of it. I have to get back to it

again

and lose the weight I have gained. It's been hard to start because of the Fibro

and afib.

Each day is different, and I could feel fine one minute and then I'm a mess the

next. I know what to do and how to do it, I just have to get to the point of

doing it.

No and no. With very low carbs, you lose 10-15 pounds quickly, but that

is mostly water. After that, 2-3 pounds a week came off for about 8

weeks. Then, it started to slow down.

I still moderate my carb intake and try to eliminate high glycemic index

foods. At least I am not still gaining.

Chuck there is a critical carbohydrate number which is exclusive to each person.

When you track your carbs and find the amount that renders you neutral (not

gaining or losing) you can stay that way all the time.

Thank you Chuck for your reply.

That is my experience too, I am trying to be thankful I'm not still gaining,

being careful with both carbs and calories. Oh well I am in good company. :)
