Nordic Naturals is a good brand. You can also try enzymatic therapy. If you have a pt who does not like or cannot tolerate the gel caps. Enzymatic Therapy also has a nice tasting liquid and ProThera has petites that many of my pts like. You should always ask the company if it is third party tested and they should have a certificate on file from the testing company. Many good companies can also be pharmaceutical grade in other countries (Enzymatic Therapy being one - Parent Company is Integrative Therapeutics)

Does anyone recommend a specific fish oil to their patients if they are having trouble eating fish or just don’t like it? I currently recommend Nordic Naturals, but wanted to see if anyone else knew of a good brand that has some solid research to back up the quality of it.

Thanks,

Abby

I suggest to my patients that do not like the taste of the fish oil capsules to store them in the freezer and take them at bedtime. This alleviates the bad taste by allowing the capsules to make it further down the digestive tract before thawing.

Coromega is another brand that make Omega 3 in a pudding like consistency. They are available in little "ketchup" like packets. I think certain Albertson grocery stores carry it also. Subido, RD
