If you eat out you need to pick and choose foods that are on the diet. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
The Idiot Proof Diet definitely works. Although I don't have Hashimotos I have low thyroid and it worked for me - faster than any other diet. It does get terribly boring but worth the effort. It is necessary to make other important changes in the diet, particularly low carbs and high-good fats - see my Weight Loss Program: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/weight/index.php Bee
Guest guest
I've been reading a book about Leptin and have implemented much of what they are recommending with pretty decent success. Here are the five rules: Rule 1: Never eat after dinner. Rule 2: Eat three meals a day. Rule 3: Do not eat large meals. Rule 4: Eat a breakfast containing protein. Rule 5: Reduce the amount of carbohydrates eaten. Pretty straightforward, but very effective. Probably the most difficult for me was not to snack after dinner-even on " healthy " snacks. I've found supplementation with 1,000 mg of CLA before meals has helped me control portions, feel " full " faster and helped with those late night snack cravings. It has also really helped reduce my body fat as well. As of Jan 1 I was 257.5 and of this morning I am 228. > > ... Chuck, may I ask were you able to keep the weight you lost off? The 40 > lbs you lost sounds pretty amazing to me. After the month's plateau were > you able to lose weight again? No and no. With very low carbs, you lose 10-15 pounds quickly, but that is mostly water. After that, 2-3 pounds a week came off for about 8 weeks. Then, it started to slow down. I still moderate my carb intake and try to eliminate high glycemic index foods. At least I am not still gaining. Guest guest
Deb, I haven't noticed any weight loss with oil pulling although I use it regularly. Others may have. My best weight loss results were obtained by weightloss4idiots (I think it's now fatloss4idiots). Alternating calories also works pretty well. It's also called calorie shifting. I now maintain my weight by using concepts from both programs. Just do a google search and the references will immediately come up. I also like these programs because you can choose your own healthy variations. Best, Dee > > Hi, I recently read that someone lost weight by coconut oil pulling. Could someone explain this to me? I had my first experience pulling yesterday. Thanks > Deb >
Guest guest
Hi. I haven't ever heard about weight loss through oil pulling but I have heard about weight loss with coconut oil if you consume 2 tablespoons of the coconut oil 30 minutes before every meal. You're not suppose to swallow the coconut oil after you complete the oil pulling. > > Hi, I recently read that someone lost weight by coconut oil pulling. Could someone explain this to me?
