Lois, I was prescribed Atarax for itching. I found it helped a great deal,

and my doctors said it was safe for the liver. Atarax is specific for

skin-related problems, as opposed to anti-histamines that treat nasal symptoms.

Atarax

will make you very sleepy at first, but that lessens with use.
