Guest guest
Well thank you Nina. You know - I didn't always have this attitude. I spent many (thin) years hating myself and feeling that I was always the most hideous person in the room. It took years and years of work on myself to begin to accept me as I am. I actually felt better about myself after I became an obese person than I ever had as a thin person. You are right that my attitude comes from the inside. It is not about what you look like!!! I only post pictures that I think are attractive.... *anyone* can put in the effort it takes to look the best you can look - regardless of your current size. I thought of myself as sexy and beautiful pre-op. I really didn't have this operation to make me more beautiful or sexier. I believe I will feel better about my physical body as a thinner person, but my real fear was my health. Although I am a " lightweight " I noticed that I was beginning to have a lot of physical problems that I knew would only get worse. I see the obesity related problems that my family members have and I was really afraid of that. I kept getting bigger and bigger, and felt worse and worse physically. By the way - I NEVER NEVER NEVER go out in the sun without coating myself head to toe with 30 or higher sunscreen. I made sure to rub plenty of it on my scar areas! Guest guest
If Kels gets a bad cough its usually back to the doctor with a prescription medication. I do not use Dimetapp, etc. Its usually Vicks rub, hot vapourizer mister and tylenol. Trish > > Zanna, your post about attitude and being thankful struck a chord with me. > You are right. Guest guest
JoLynne sent this to me and I wanted to pass it along..........I like the meaning. Is a pretty way of saying if you have lemons make lemonade. Blessings, Joanne Attitude There once was a woman who woke up one morning, Looked in the mirror, And noticed she had only three hairs on her head. 'Well,' she said, 'I think I'll braid my hair today. So she did and she had a wonderful day. The next day she woke up, And looked in the mirror And saw that she had only two hairs on her head. 'H-M-M,' she said. 'I think I'll part my hair down the middle today.' So she did and she had a grand day. The next day she woke up, Looked in the mirror and noticed That she had only one hair on her head. 'Well,' she said, 'today I'm going To wear my hair in a pony tail.' So she did, and she had a fun, fun day. The next day she woke up, Looked in the mirror and noticed That there wasn't a single hair on her head. 'YAY!' she exclaimed. 'I don't have to fix my hair today!' Attitude is everything. Be kinder than necessary, For everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly....... Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... It's about learning to dance in the rain. ____________________________________________________________ Save on Trade Schools - Click here. http://thirdpartyoffers.netzero.net/TGL2241/fc/Ioyw6i4vGzFl6LbJgoL73SPZ4TlgA4E9P\ cPeQ2U0xtygRVH676IBlX/
Guest guest
That's funny, because I heard a very similar story from my Mother some 40 years ago, here in Finland. In that story there was a rich guy who was having his hair done for the night every evening by a manservant (why the night and not the day, I've no idea). The first evening he also had three hairs on his head, and he asked the valet to make a parting down the right side of his head. The following night there were only two hairs left and he requested a parting down the middle. The next evening there was only one single hair left on his head, and he exclaimed: " Wonderful! Tonight I can sleep with my hair flowing loose! " . :-) I've also always liked the positive attitude of the story, which is probably why it has stayed with me since childhood. I wonder if they are originally the same story that's travelled and changed a bit over the years, and if so, where and when does it originate from.
