ATTENTION! ATTENTION! ATTENTION! SOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shirley Godbout

----- Forwarded Message ----From: DAVID ARMSTRONG <lookn4jesus@...>Shirley Godbout <prywarr@...>Sent: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 5:18:51 PMSubject: Fw: FW: scam

very urgent and important.

I checked this out on SNOPES and it applies to cell phones – 90#, 09#, etc. can give the scammer access to the “brains” in your phone.

re: 90# on Your TelephoneI received a telephone call last evening from an individual identifying himself as an AT & T Service Technician (could also be Telus) who was conducting a test on the telephone lines. He stated that to complete the test I should touch nine (9), zero (0), the pound sign (#), and then hang up. Luckily, I was suspicious and refused.Upon contacting the telephone company, I was informed that by pushing 90#, you give the requesting individual full access to your telephone line, which enables them to place long distance calls billed to your home phone number.I was further informed that this scam has been originating from many local jails/prisons.DO NOT press 90# for ANYONE.The GTE Security Department requested that I share this information with EVERYONE I KNOW.After checking with Verizon they also said it was true, so do not dial 90# for anyone !!!!!PLEASE HIT THAT FORWARD BUTTON AND PASS THIS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!!(I dialed '0' and asked the operator who confirmed that this was correct, so please pass it on . . .. (l also checked out Snopes.com..this is true, and also applies to cell phones!)PASS ON TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW

article, but posted it just incase others hadn't seen it.

The gal rec'd the following email from her New England Organ Bank (NEOB)

volunteer contact -

Hello,

I would like to alert everyone to an organization based in Florida that has been

contacting people across the country soliciting funds:

Organ Donation and Transplant Association of America:

http://odtaa.org/contactus.html

This organization is not affiliated with NEOB, UNOS or any organ procurement

organization or transplant program, although they lead the caller to believe

that they are. We are working with our colleagues across the country as well as

here locally to warn the public about this organization's attempts to solicit

funds from people.

Hi ,I read the message and think that sometimes when a person is excited about positive results for something they have tried, they like to share that information with others. If the person who sent that email reads your response, perhaps they will realize that the information given is not received as they meant it to be.In the end, it i always a matter of perception. Today I received this sales pitch that seems to be directed to me as

a member of the iodine group. Perhaps the sender can be asked to

cease and desist.

Beta Glucan for immune support

From:

Hi ,

Heads up on something you might want to

consider for immune

support is the product, Transfer Point Beta Glucan, it’s a

potent

immunomodulator.

I take it on a daily basis, 1-500mg every

morning for

prevention. For my thyroid I’m taking Levothyrozine and also a

compounded Armour, but I know, having my immune system on guard

and ready means

a lot.

www.bakersyeastbetaglucan.com

has a coupon code to use for a discount on their Transfer Point

Beta Glucan

products.

The coupon code I use is: UltimateBetaGlucan

I am very sorry not to include all previous postings with this response,

but my server keeps failing when I try to reply with the historical

background . . . so here's my stand-alone response which I hope will go

through:,

,

You may be right, but the info didn't seem relevant to or in response to

anything I've posted recently (in which case, why wouldn't it be posted

on the forum?), and I don't recall any prior correspondence with this

person. I thought it might be a rather sophisticated " personal " sales

ploy sent to other members as well, and that's why I posted.

Hi

Everyone,

This

is who wrote to some of you regarding the Transfer Point Beta Glucan

found at http://www.bakersyeastbetaglucan.com

As

mentions below, yes, I am excited about the product and wanted to let

some of you know about it, since I know that the forum is not for advertising,

how does a person tell others about something that can possibly benefit others

without breaking the rules.

I’m

sorry if I caused any problems but isn’t this forum here to help people

get better and have healthier lives.

Well,

may you all have a Blessed Christmas,

I

read the message and think that sometimes when a person is excited about

positive results for something they have tried, they like to share that

information with others. If the person who sent that email reads your response,

perhaps they will realize that the information given is not received as

they meant it to be.

In the end, it i always a matter of perception.
