This and that

Well, we are now between holidays. My holiday shopping is about done. Just a

few things left to pick up. This year we are doing much less spending so it is

not only easier, but, better yet very little stress. All the " kids " are getting

gift certificates to their store of choice and two little gifts for the tree.

Was easy as we knew exactly what we were buying when we went to the stores. And,

best of all, everything is on sale. The competition in the stores is great what

with the bad economy. My favorite store Kohl's has had wonderful buys. This

morning I was watching the Today show and they said that the average person

gains between 5 and 10 pounds between Thanksgiving and Christmas/Hanukah.WOW. I

am REALLY going to be careful as I have had to struggle to lose the weight this

year I had put on with my medication. Weather here in Vermont

has been much colder then usual for this time of year and we even have snow. It

melted but then snowed again today a tiny bit. but is supposed to snow tomorrow.

About now I envy all of you in the warmer states and countries. So far I

am still doing great being off Cellcept and just taking the cyclosporin for

anti-rejection. But, I do wish I could stop the cyclosporin and take the

Cellcept instead............but, they do not do that. And, I am allergic to

Prograff. It has been quiet here.so I am hoping that means most of you are

feeling pretty good.all things considered. We do have lots of new people here

so I would like you oldies to pitch in and chat..........remember what it was

like being new to all this? And, feel free to just chat. As this is a small

group writing " off topic " is ok here as long as there is no SPAM.nor sex talk.

; - ) Also, if anyone has any good recipes for the holidays that are easy to

make or are healthy PLEASE share them. Also, I personally would LOVE to have

someone(s) give me a very good Italian Tomato soup with basil and a bit of

cheese recipe!!!! Joanne
