Dr. Palmer has a terrific book........ " Hepatitis & Liver Disease " ..what we call our liver health bible...... In it she has an article on Diet. I do heartily suggest you get one if possible. She also has a lot on the Internet. Just Google her name and Diet.......... She discusses the difference between a healthy liver and how our weakened ones balance out the foods we eat....and how our healthy diet can help to spped up in your AIH recovery and in the minimizing of further damage to a PBC or AIH liver. Cheese... It was announced that the daily portion of cheese is a MERE size that equals two dice! Yikes.I am a cheese lover and could live on cheese, fruit, veggys, and juice. So.I now sliver it up and add to my salads.so I still get some daily.and I enjoy it that way. A daily salad.is a great way to get your extra vewggys.try adding things like grapes, diced, plum, peaches, apples, and olives, and of course green peppers and onion.
