There is some very good news in today's Dallas Morning News: Medical Research,

Scientists Itching to Ease Skin Irritations. They divide itch into Mild and

Severe, where mild can be treated, but severe is not affected by Benedryl,

Rifampin or Atarax. An itch-related gene called GRPR (gastrin releasing peptide

receptor). Now they have to find a way to block GRPR. g
