Guest guest
My following comments are not in judgment of or anyone else with MRSA. Obviously they cannot help getting this bacteria. What I would like to rant on, however, if the obvious cause of this problem: antibiotic overuse. If everyone (and I don't mean most of us on this group) would stop being such ninnies and going to their danged doctor for every little cough, cold and sniffle and save the abx for REAL problems, then this problem most likely would not exist. end of rant. Thanks! ; ) Sheri B. www.shaklee.net/simplevitality Products in harmony with Nature Find out why we've been around for 50 years __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Can you email more info or a link to the autumn list you mentioned offline? I've never heard of this before. For some reason, I had a thought about whether or not probiotics cab be used to treat Lyme Disease. Don't know exactly where that came from, but I want to follow through. Thanks, ...........Anita JULIE GRIFFITHS <moppett1@...> wrote: On the autism lists, they treat with probiotics in particular " s. boulardii " MRSA Infection Hi all: I think my daughter is infected with the MRSA virus. My sister had it and passed it on to my neice which now I think is growing in my daughters nose. She has been sick for 5 weeks and just does not look good. I have been doing everything to boost her immune system and we treated what I thought was the flu/cold/ear infection naturally. I am going to the doctor tomorrow for a lab confirmation but really need advice on what I can do to boost her system as I guess what I have been doing is not enough. I'd also like to know if anyone out there has had this infection and how they helped their body recover from it. I have researched it and it looks like a bad strain that could be dangerous. Guest guest
No Kidding! I did go to the doctor to have it looked at. Of course they said it is a staph infection, not sure if MRSA. They recommend antibiotics and topical antibiotic cream. They know I do not vaccinate because it is Kaiser (a large HMO) and it says in the computer I am not up to date on my vaccinatioins since 2004 so I could not lie if I wanted to. What should I expect when I go to the allopathic doctor but for them to offer me help I really don't want-I know that! I now wish I did not go at all! I declined the antibiotic and said I will wait it out and try to work with her immune system to build it stronger. To my surprise she said " I think that is great to try a natural path first. If it does not work let me know and I will then give you the antibiotic. " We are seeing a Homepath very soon! Guest guest
Thanks Sheri: We are in San , CA. Yes, not sure if it is MRSA or not. Right now I don't care and I don't think it really matters. I just want her better. She has been sick for so long and truly looks terrible. Her nose is like an open, oozing scab. We have an appt. with a Homeopath soon. I firmly believe she is so sick from all the vaccinations I gave her from birth to age 4. She was also on antibiotics consistently from the age of 6mos to 3 1/2 years old for chronic bladder and ear infections. She also suffered from Shingles off and on for 1 year after getting a dose of the varicella vax....soon after that I woke up and now we have to rebuild her system. It is interesting to note that she has been extremely sick for 5 weeks and my unvaxed 19 month old son ran a fever for a total of 12 hours during this time and is doing great! Thanks again for your help-I really appreciate having the support of everyone here! I would HIGHLY recommend seeing a quality homeopathy AND high doses of Vitamin C. Ideal would be IV vitamin C, if it is indeed MRSA, but hard to find someone to do that. Start with high oral doses. I will resend the info on that. Get Sodium Asorbate form as that is best when we don't know if your daughter is acidic or alkaline Good for both types. Remind me where you live? Also suggest for your sister and niece. In my opinion, only homeopathy and/or HIGH Vitamin C will help this, if indeed MRSA but it may not be I don't think just because exposed will get - depends on susceptibility She may just be ill otherwise Sheri -------------------------------------------------------- Sheri Nakken, former R.N., MA, Hahnemannian Homeopath Vaccination Information & Choice Network, Nevada City CA & Wales UK $$ Donations to help in the work - accepted by Paypal account earthmysteriestours@... voicemail US 530-740-0561 (go to http://www.paypal.com) or by mail Vaccines - http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccine.htm or http://www.wellwithin1.com/vaccine.htm Vaccine Dangers On-Line course - http://www.wellwithin1.com/vaccineclass.htm Reality of the Diseases & Treatment - http://www.nccn.net/~wwithin/vaccineclass.htm Homeopathy On-Line course - http://www.wellwithin1.com/homeo.htm NEXT CLASSES start by email October 17 &
Guest guest
Please try the s. boulardii.... and get the child out into fresh air and alkalize the body through reduction of grains, dairy and sugar...the latter being widely used in Germany where they say over acidity of the body lies at the core of disease Good luck RE: Re: MRSA Infection No Kidding! Guest guest
http://www.medicinenet.com/mrsa_infection/article.htm MSRA is also called " super bug " . I am sorry but I am very concerned about your having someone stay with you who has this. MRSA? MRSA stands for methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) bacteria. This organism is known for causing skin infections, in addition to many other types of infections. There are other designations in the scientific literature for these bacteria according to where the bacteria are acquired by patients, such as community-acquired MRSA (CA-MRSA), and hospital-acquired MRSA or epidemic MRSA (EMRSA). Although S. aureus has been causing infections (staph infections) probably as long as the human race has existed, MRSA has a relatively short history. MRSA was first noted in 1961, about two years after the antibiotic methicillin was initially used to treat S. aureus and other infectious bacteria. The resistance to methicillin was due to a penicillin-binding protein coded for by a mobile genetic element termed the methicillin resistant gene (mecA). In recent years, the gene has continued to evolve so that many MRSA strains are currently resistant to several different antibiotics. S. aureus is sometimes termed a " superbug " because of its ability to become resistant to several antibiotics. Unfortunately, MRSA can be found worldwide. What are the signs and symptoms of MRSA infection? Most MRSA infections are skin infections that produce the following signs and symptoms: a.. cellulitis (infection of the skin or the fat and tissues that lie immediately beneath the skin, usually starting as small red bumps in the skin), b.. boils (pus-filled infections of hair follicles), c.. abscesses (collections of pus in under the skin), d.. sty (infection of eyelid gland), e.. carbuncles (infections larger than an abscess, usually with several openings to the skin), and f.. impetigo (a skin infection with pus-filled blisters). What does MRSA look like? One major problem with MRSA is that occasionally the skin infection can spread to almost any other organ in the body. When this happens, more severe symptoms develop. MRSA that spreads to internal organs can become life-threatening. Fever, chills, low blood pressure, joint pains, severe headaches, shortness of breath, and " rash over most of the body " are symptoms that need immediate medical attention, especially when associated with skin infections. a.. 1 b.. 2 c.. 3 d.. 4 e..
